Great sound, but no On/Off switch!

The sound quality is surprisingly good for speakers of their size. Listened to them side by side with similarly priced Bose speakers and there was no comparison. The Klipsch's have a much fuller sound. I also like the aux. input for my iPod Nano. Another great feature is the ability to control the bass level to suite one's taste. However, there is no On/Off button! Even my $25 pair of Logitech's had a combined On/Off/Volume switch. Since I don't always use the speakers when working on my PC, I bought a $4 On/Off switch at Home Depot that I plugged into my surge protector - problem solved! Next, I want to try them with my TV next instead of buying an overly priced sound bar.

I read the reviews about the speaker system and was skeptical about the rave reviews because of the price compared to other performing speakers. But I hooked them up to my PC I suddenly had a home theater quality sound coming out of the PC! I could not be happier the system!

The overall quality and unbelievable sound more than makes up for the one minor flaw...no on/off switch. You either have to put them on a power strip or leave them on all the time. Best small speakers for the money or at least one of the best

This is a very good sound system. But I've had the Logitech Z-2300 for years [it gave up the ghost] and the Klipsch is not quite as good. The Z played louder + had better dynamics. And I paid less for the Logitech. But I still like the Pro-Media 2.1, it does its job.
What's great about it: clear voices + good bass
What's not so great: No remote, not easy to turn off
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this to replace my 12 year old Harmon Kardon 2.1 set that I bought refurbished from Fry's Electronics for $60. It's like night and day, these speakers are awesome. I mainly use them for gaming, but I'm going to start listening to more music on my computer now. If your thinking of getting a $40-$60 2.1 set of speakers don't! Spend the extra money on these and you'll hear where that extra money went.

I've had these speakers for a couple years now, and have had absolutely no problems. The sound quality is incredible and they provide more than enough thump for the price. Worth every penny.

These speakers pack a nice punch for the amount of money they cost. The speakers you often find in Best Buy stores in the computer area under this price point just don't match the sound quality or the truer bass sound of the subwoofer. On the flip side, you have the Bose speakers which, other than the cheapest ones, all cost a good deal more than these. Honestly, for the price difference, these are the better option. Plus, these have the dedicated subwoofer, whereas the new Companion series for Bose forgoes it for the most part. So, if you want to jam to some good slap-bass or get your own little rave going, these will accommodate you better. Overall, I've been very happy with the two ProMedia sets I've had over the years.
