Originally purchased the Bose, set it up and was totally disappointed. I have more base and sound in my factory installed no name car radio. Read the reviews about the Klipsch (which was 100.00 cheaper than the Bose by the way) ran to BB to purchase it and I am sooo happy. The sound is simply awesome.
What's great about it: EVERYTHING
What's not so great: NOT A THING
I would recommend this to a friend!

Very Powerful Speakers

These speakers are great for the little money you pay. The sub pounds hard, but the 2 desktops sound great. Although the sub does adjust in volume, it does not allow adjustment for frequency. The sub hits way too hard. But, I do have a pair of Bose 3 multimedia speakers, and they rock. But they are $299. Bose has great sound all around. If money is no object, I would recommend the Bose. If money is an object, get these Klipsch! You cannot go wrong with either set.
What's great about it: Very Powerful Speakers
What's not so great: Bass Is way too HARSH!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this product based on product reviews from this BB site. I am extremely impressed with the Promedia System product so far. I purchased 2 "PREMIUM" Cambridge Soundworks sat systems with unpowered subs a few years ago for over twice the price and the CBSW products don't even come close to this Klipsch system for sound quality and value! From now on I will be looking to Klipsch for all of my speaker needs. 10/09 AJ
What's great about it: Sound is Awesome for the price! Tons better than Cambridge Soundworks products!!
What's not so great: I wish the power switch was on the sat. with the other controls, I turned the sub backwards to access pwr. switch.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Bass that will scare you!

I've had these speakers for a week or so and I am pleased as punch with them! If you like to watch movies on your computer these really bring them to life. I like that I can easily adjust the subwoofer volume and the main speaker volume separately from the front of one of the satellite speakers. I just wish they had put the power switch somewhere else (it's on the back of the subwoofer).
I think I'll add a power strip and plug in the various AC adapters and so forth that don't need to be on anyway when the computer isn't being used and plug the speaker's power cord into that as well.
Installation was easy, the cords are plenty long enough and as far as I know they didn't hurt any dolphins making these.
What's great about it: They sound great!
What's not so great: The power switch location
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great pair of speakers, especially for the price. Compared to Bose companion series this system is excellent!! Great crisp sound, Deep bass when you want it and of course the Klipsch reputation for great high quality product!! First set of computer speakers and will probably never go with anything but Klipsch from now on.
What's great about it: Great sound for the price, Klipsh reputation
What's not so great: nothing

I loved the sound, plenty of bass, but the sub heats up and emits a low level buzz. Turned me off and I returned them.
What's great about it: Fantastic Sound
What's not so great: Sub gets hot to the touch, emits a low level buzz when on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

These are the best computer speakers that I have ever owned; had Bose and they are nice, not saying that I did not like them; but they kinda faltered with the type of music I listen to. These Klipsch are wonderfull speakers and I recommend them for him and her, young and old. Just remember that the bass is deep, so when you get caught up in a movie/tv show from Hulu, or a game like Borderlands; it can and will upset the neighbors! Just my .02!
What's great about it: The sound is insane
What's not so great: The fact that I cannot listen to them as loud as I would like!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought these speakers not intending to buy speakers. I have Bose Companion 3 speakers on my computer and was always impressed by them. When I heard these it was love at first sight and I bought them. Cost less than half of what Bose charges and they sound much better. My only gripe is no separate control pod like Bose has with their speaker system; but it was not enough to affect my rating. Easy to set up and does not take up a lot of room. I would definitely recommend these speakers in a heartbeat. 110% satisfied.
What's great about it: Blew away Bose
What's not so great: no control pod like Bose has
