What's great about it: Massive immersion no matter what you are doing great high's and mid's powerful sub not only for pc but tv's and console'

Used as TV speakers

I've had these speakers for over 4 years and they're still going strong. I'm not a huge audiophile, but these are the best 2.1 speakers I've heard. I will admit this is my 2nd set because my first set blew a fuse after two days (apparently you should not have a device plugged into the audio jack when you plug in the power cord) and you are unable to replace the fuse, at least on mine. I think there may be an older model that has an easy access to replace the fuse, but not on mine. I use these as my main TV speakers. The only drawback is you can't adjust to volume unless you get up and adjust it on the speaker. Since it plugs into the headphone jack in the tv the remote for the tv is useless in adjusting the volume. The speakers sound great and the bass is awesome. Crank it when watching a movie and you can feel the explosions. Love these speakers and would definitely recommend!

Perfect for me

I use my laptop on my 50+ inch LCD TV. I use them to stream music, Netflix, and for general web surfing. My laptop has THX certified sound and an app I can use to tweak the sound. I purchased these speakers instead of a sound bar because of the great reviews, as well as the sound I heard in the store. I can tell you, they are worth the money. The sound is just awesome all around. I like the crisp highs, and as for the lows, I can only turn up the bass knob a little before it is in perfect balance. These are no junk computer speakers, they are the real deal. Movies sound great, music is perfect, everything. I was hesitant to purchase a 2.1 setup because I always had 5.1 speakers in the past, but I can tell you it fills the room and so much more. I don't even push them too hard because I live in a apartment, I can't imagine if you had a bigger space to fill. I am so happy I purchased these! Worth every penny.

this is a great sounding system the only down fall is that you can not turn it on/off because there is no power switch on the unit. you have to leave it on or unplug the unit.

At first I thought this was a little pricey, but after hearing the sound... No way. I would buy it again in a heartbeat. I bought it to have a good sound when watching movies, after hooking it up I not only use it for that but now I use it to blast music. It has the perfect balance of sound and AWESOME bass. It sounds almost as good as my $1000+ car sound system.
I would absolutely buy this again in a heartbeat.

What's great about it: Decent price, even better sound

What's not so great: More than twice the price of other computer speakers

Awesome product

I recently purchased this product after hearing a friend of mine had bought them for his office at work. I thought they sounded great so I figured I'd purchase a set for my apartment. Although there is no on/off button (I worked that one out for myself) the sound quality is amazing, I barley turn up the sound on the satellite speakers and the sub and only had the computer volume up to 40. !!!BAM!!! instant theater sound in my apartment. The precise clarity and bass are real impressive and yes I would and already have recommended these to several friends and family and I would buy them again! Klipsh great job!!!

Best audio for the computer under $500

I am in the speaker business and have been for 30 years. I have overseen sales and marketing while delivering literally millions of loudspeakers to consumers around the world. I only say this to let you know I am very picky about sound quality.

Since I don't produce anything for computer sound I went on the hunt for something I could at least tolerate for the system in my home office. It should be noted there is a lot of junk out there at every price point. As I demoed every unit at the local Best Buy I was shocked at how much better the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 was compared to the competition. More bass, more overall sound pressure, just more than any computer speakers anywhere near the price point.

I did have a problem with the system. The amplifier went bad after a couple of months. However, the customer service at Klipsch was incredible. They sent me a shipping label for the unit and swapped it out with no cost to me and in a very quick turnaround.

Couldn't recommend this product enough.
