Bottom line; the level of volume and crisp sound quality that is achieved by this speaker system with only a headphone jack is absolutely fantastic...Total sound presence achieved on anything with a headphone jack...

Great speakers

The Klipsch Pro Media speakers are solid sounding speakers. The bass from the sub actually vibrates the floor and they deliver clear crisp sound even at higher volume levels and they get pretty loud for such small speakers. They're great for watching movies on a computer or tablet and they really rock when listening to music from my phone or streaming from iTunes! Would definitely recommend!

This is my third Klipsch sound system for as many computers. I bought my first one years ago and absolutely love it. If you are looking for a powerful system that could satisfy any gamer's need, or just for listening to music online, this system steps up to the plate. The subwoofer is so powerful on louder bass notes, it can puff air out of its port. In my opinion, this blows away my old Bose Companion Speakers I have on my Apple computer. Make sure you have room for the sub, because it is pretty big, but so is the sound it delivers. The price is also reasonable for what it delivers. There is also a jack for headphones.

Simple and powerful.

As other reviewers have noted, these boys are a little heavy on the bass, but one of the two adjustable nobs is for the subwoofer, so that hasn't gotten in the way of anything. I use them for my editing rig, and for that they've been perfectly fine. However, I'm not doing a lot of sound design, so my needs are basic. At this price range (especially if they are on sale (and they generally are)) you can't go wrong.
