BLEW ME AWAY!

My first Promedia 2.1 is attached to my music workstation. When I bought it, I wasn't expecting much, considering the price. When I unpacked the system and realized there was not even a tone control, let alone equalization, my heart sank. But then I hooked it up and began to play. SOLD! The power of the system when tasked with reproducing a pipe organ sound rattles the windows! My computer speaker system just tanked, so I'm considering buying another Promedia 2.1 for it. Considering how good the system sounds, including reproducing the lowest "C" on the piano, I can't imagine what an Klipsch audiophile system must sound like! But then, I'll never know, since I can't justify the price of such a system on my pension.
Pros: Attractive, Compact, Easy To Set Up, Good Audio
Cons: No equalization provided

Absolutely the best BANG for your buck stereo system!!

Until I bought this system I had an older 5.1 surround system in my room, with 2 12" subwoofers for added bass. I finally decided I wanted to get something more practical and smaller. After doing some browsing I came across the Promedia 2.1 system and saw the fantastic reviews. I picked it up open box, set it up and was ABSOLUTELY BLOWN AWAY by the incredible improvement over the much bulkier 5,1 system I had. This 2 little speakers are crazy loud and clear and subwoofer is on par with the 2 12" subs I had! This system is by far the best money I've spent to improve my computer set up! Do yourself a favor and get one, you won't be disappointed!

Used mainly as audio on desktop computer. Problem is, these will spoil you and then you'll realize your main stereo system doesn't sound as good, even though it cost many times more. They really are that good. I've had this set for about ten years, and they are still going strong. Be prepared to hear how good these sound and then be in the market to get your other speakers to sound as good.

The Best Sounding 2.1 speaker system.

I have had these speakers installed in my den desktop systme for a month now and can not get enough of them. They are fed by mp3 files from a motherboard audio out and are still just marvelous. I can not wait to hear the improved quality via a dedicated sound card.

Excellent Addition to HiFi

I have a 5.1 using Klipsch Heresy speakers, and an 8" subwoofer for gaming movies and the like. These sit nicely and are pretty close to that matched set on my desk. I would rate the quality as about 85% of having a 5 speaker Klipsch Big Box set and a subwoofer which considering they sit on my desk and have got little room to disperse the sound is pretty excellent. Without writing too much about competitors, the sound fills my ears from 24" away as well as Grado SR80e headphones on a DAC and amplifier.
I surely wish they didn't pick up headphone buzz from my cell phone receiving signals but that's the worst of it. I would have hoped for coax connections rather than wired, and integrated wall mount options (like my college Creative Labs 2.1 speakers did) but that begins and ends my complaints about the product.

They sound great. Power LED at volume button is too bright, had to tape over it.

The Klipsch ProMedia2.1 THX Computer Speakers sound better than any other computer speakers I have listened to. The problem is they are advertised as LOUD and CRYSTAL CLEAR. They are at lower volume. Loud for me is more than these speakers can handle. I have blown ( 2 ) sets of these pc speakers !! HEY KLIPSCH !!! if your listening you need to double the RMS !!! The speakers are not blown!! The control pod circuit board is where the problem is!!! and the AMP gets so hot i can smell it burn. BEEF UP YOUR CIRCUITRY and charge double the price !!! I will by them !!!!
