Hum, whirling dishwasher noise, loud horn from sub

There is a constant low hum that comes from the sub, which occasionally ramps up to a whirling dishwasher noise, and sometimes shifts into a very loud truck horn type noise that comes from the sub. If I whack the top of the sub box, it turns back into just a low hum most of the time, other times I have to pull the plug and plug it back in. Altogether, pretty disappointed Klipsch would release a product with such a bad preamp. The speakers are wonderful, but the total user experience is seriously damaged by an inferior pre-amp in the sub box. Pretty disappointed overall, as I've known Klipsch to be superior products since my first set in 1995. What happened, team? How has QA dropped off your priority?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the sound . Only complaint is the plug in to computer . My dog bumped into it and it snapped . So I had to by another set

Best sounding speakers you'll find for the money. Awesome base. Quility built. Can't ask for anything more. Being nitpicky, the 120 volt power cord needs to be longer and the white light on the control speaker (right) needs to be blue, orange or some color other than white. The white light is just to bright. I had to put blue tinted tape over it couldn't stand it at night.

Best "computer" speakers I've ever had!

I've had a set of these for almost 3 years now and I have found zero flaws in them other than the fact that the LED power light on mine is insanely bright. Other than that, they sound and look amazing. It still surprises me to this day the clarity of sound and the massive amount of bass comes out of that little sub. 100% worth every penny and would absolutely buy again. Also, the sub makes a great little ottoman :P
