I bought 2 sets of these speakers for 2 different rooms. The subwoofer on both of them stop working after a few years. Don't buy these. Love my Klipsh surround sound speakers... but not these!

Best speakers I've ever heard

Hands down the best gift I've received in the last 5 years. I am leaving this review randomly after 2 years of owning the speakers because they still impress me. Using as speakers for my home PC. Insanely strong speakers. I've never turned the volume knob past 30% because they are THAT LOUD. Similarly, the sub has never been dialed past 20-30% because at that point the whole room/house starts to shake. That said, the audio quality is crystal clear, even at high volumes. For general computer audio, these are overkill in the sweetest way. Would make an excellent home audio system overall. My only criticism is the size of the two desktop speakers is a little large for a standard desk, but that's only because I use a dual monitor set up (and even then everything does fit, just a bit snug). But still 5 stars because the quality is worth the size. 5 stars, would recommend to others and have personally bought Klipsch products again because of my experience with these speakers.
Pros: Crystal Clear Audio, Subwoofer is insanely strong

I purchased the 2.1 THX computer speakers three years ago. It now has a problem were the higher frequency nots cut out and make a terrible static and gargle sound. My speakers were mostly used for gaming and videos, some music. The speakers did sound very good so it is quite upsetting to lose them this way so quickly.

I got my first klipsch promedia 2.1 a couple years ago. Worked amazingly but stopped working after a year. The system is very poorly built. Motherboard fried within a year. I enjoyed the sound so much I decided to invest in a second system. This one lasted an even shorter period than the first! The right channel for the right speaker stopped working, so I was down to using one speaker. More recently the pod stopped working and the only heard sound was a low hum from the subwoofer. Very disappointed in this product. Will most likely look at another, more reliable company/sound system.
Pros: Has phenomenal sound
Cons: DO NOT LAST, Not reliable

My older pro Media's were rock solid. I've had these maybe a year and you can barely hear the left speaker.

I've been a Klipsch fan ever since a stereo salesman shook the floor playing Stravinsky's Firebird Suite through a pair of Klipsch Horns some 30 years ago. The quality and clarity of sound at what should have been ear-shattering volume was incredible. No distortion - no pain - just brilliant treble, fantastic midrange, and stunning, thundering bass. I couldn't afford the horns but I did enjoy a Klipsch subwoofer for years. When I tried the ProMedia system in a store it sounded terrific. Took one home and loved it so much I bought another one for my TV (and its computer). With these speakers and a computer running iTunes I didn't even need a stereo system. Sound quality was that good. Unfortunately after less than three years, both ProMedia systems are dead. The right-side channel of the amplifier died on one system, and soon after that the power supply failed on the other. I took the two systems to an audio repair shop, and they combined parts from both failed systems to create one working system. I bought a cheaper (non-Klipsch) set to replace the other. After a couple of months this remaining ProMedia system began to make very loud clicks. Couldn't find a way to stop this. Had to shut the system down and listen to the TV through its tinny little built-ins. Did some research and found that the kind of failures I experienced are common in ProMedia 2.1 systems - and have been for years. Got a new set of speakers for Christmas, made by a competing brand which I know from experience is reliable. The ProMedia system is sitting by the door, waiting to go to recycling. I won't be buying another Klipsch product - and I'm no longer a fan.
Pros: Attractive, Compact, Easy To Set Up, Good Audio
Cons: Not Durable
