Lousy Quality Control

Purchased this and was defective out of the box (wiring had a short in it). Weeks later after mailing for warranty I still haven't hear back from the company or can get anyone to respond. STAY AWAY from Klipsh!!!

No Power Switch???????

No power switch??? Really??? When I turn off my laptop I get significant feedback through the speakers that is constant. I have to unplug the power to the Sub-Woofer. Poor product design and worse engineering.

I've had these speakers for 10 years and I swear by them. I recommend them to everyone. When someone says, wow those slam what are they? These are phenomenal speakers, period.

Best bang for the buck of any compact system

Purchased 10 years ago, the ProMedia 2.1 system continues to impress. I use the system with a 27" iMac in a home office, and the THX effect is astounding. It's difficult to describe how incredible the sound is from just two speakers and a subwoofer. Eyes closed, you'd swear there was a center-channel speaker juxtapositioned with the monitor/screen. Songs I've listened to for decades, grew up with, and knew every detail of... soon felt like new material had been added as I now hear details that were overlooked by inferior systems. If ever there was an entry-level sound system that would motivate the consumer to develop brand loyalty for future audio purchases, this system is it. It's that good.
Pros: Attractive, Compact, Durable, Easy To Set Up, Good Audio

Second Promedia Purchasre

I have owned a Promedia 2.1 for about 10 years until the subwoofer blew out. I was very pleased with the amazing sound this system delivered and my only complaint was having to contort my arm under the desk to the back of the subwoofer in order to turn it off. So today, my new replacement Promedia 2.1 System arrived. Almost identical, except the subwoofer is about half the weight as my old one. I'm disappointed to find the new system doesn't have a power switch at all! The sound is great, but now I can't even turn it off when not in use. Come on Klipsch, It has a handy control pod on the small speaker. I was really hoping the newer model would have allowed the control pod knob to turn the system off. Now it can only be turned off by unplugging it. What a pain.

I ordered the ProMedia 2.1 THX Computer Speakers and have been absolutely thrilled with the purchase. They were very easy to connect with supplies included for cable management. I couldn't be more thrilled with the quality sound and at such an affordable price. I don't believe there is a better value for the money. After purchase, I went back and ready the Klipsch story. Outstanding American inventor striving for excellence and how the family continued the business for so many years. I'm not shy about sharing this great product with others.

Still rocking 16 years later!

Purchased these after my high school graduation and traveled with me across multiple moves - include 2 cross-country moves - and I still enjoy them almost 16 years later. The bass is powerful and the clarity cannot be beat.
I keep these plugged into my desktop setup, but I've also added a bluetooth adapter to work seamlessly with my phone. Another "modification" I've made is to plug these into an outlet switch so I can turn on/off without needing to reach around the back.
Over the years I've picked up a few portable bluetooth speakers, and of course listen frequently through wireless headphones but I alway enjoy coming back to settle in and listen through these!
