Junk quality system now! No longer reliable!

I bought 3 sets of these speakers before I moved to Thailand. 1st and 2nd set lasted a few months with very light use with 2 of my PC. For no known reason, it stop working, green light went out and no sound., no power surge occurred, just stopped working. These were well protected, connecting to UPS to prevent any power surge from destroying these as I had 1 set blown up by power surge connected directly to wall outlet back when I was in S.F. 2nd and 3rd suffered same problem! Klipsch used to mean quality and efficiency to me but I guess that doesn't applied to their computer speakers system. Luckily, my both of my full size 7.1 Klipsch systems are still performing like when they were new! So stay away from this system unless you want to waste money over and over to replace them. Now I have to find another brand to replace these. I do have to give them credit that when these junk boxes were working, they do sound much better than other brands in the same price range.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fabulous sound for such a compact system. Unit stopped working twice, the last time I gave up, and purchased an amp to use with my old BOSE speakers, although they don't fit into the available space as well. Disappointed - and out the purchase price as I got little use from this unit.
Pros: Good sound in a compact unit, when it worked.
Cons: Stopped working after a relatively short period

The volume potentiometer gets dusty and needs to be rolled vigorously with the power off to clear the dust from preventing contact and causing repeated open circuits while moving dial. The proprietary audio input to the amp/sub has lost its ability to hold contact and requires jiggling to reconnect which compounds the problem over time. Specifically: My left channel progressively giving out. The system ran great for around five years and I really loved them. I attribute my moving them around or pulling on the cord by mistake to be half the reason for the failure of the not very sturdy connector. I would buy another klipsch product or recommend this product to a friend if that connector and volume potentiometer were upgraded to account for these often occuring issues.
I love this setup and it has taken my battle station to the next level. Speakers sound great. Sub sounds great. Easy to set up. My only gripe is there’s no power button. It’s always on. Other than that, 5 star product.
