Bought this for my daughter and son in law. They lose internet power upstairs. I set up this easy range extender for them and now they have all bars, all speed, no dropped cell calls and full internet on their laptop.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I didn't find the product very user friendly, hard to setup with all the Linksys website requirements, vague instructions.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this RE2000 two years ago! It's been in every consevable position in my house, and it has yet to improve the signal! It is a complete bunk"O" piece of plastic junk! A waste of money!

Hi,
Do you happen to know if your range extender is running on the latest firmware version? Have you tried resetting and re-installing the unit? Please reach out to us so we can tap our Escalation Engineers to sort this out for you. Send us an email at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact information and the link to this post for reference.
By the way, as for the location, it is best that the extender is getting at least 50% of your router's WiFi signal and is located midway between your router and the area without Wi-Fi.
