3rd purchase of this wine opener. We love them til they quit working. This unit lasted only ONE MONTH!!! Not recommended, find a different Mfr & model!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this product

I love the ease of this opener! The charge lasts a long time and it is so easy to use! I had an issue with my product, it fell over and a piece broke off and i emailed them and they replaced it! Excellent customer service! Dont hesitate to reach out to the company!

corkscrew rurns but does not advance or retract

The wine opener was a gift and it worke great for perhaps two years. Today after I opened a bottle the corkscrew would not retract.It seems to be detached from the drive gear.
I would recommend this to a friend!

However, please understand that your unit only has a one-year limited warranty. As of today, your unit is already beyond the warranty period. What a great American product

I have had these for years, and my first one opened at least 2000 bottles before succumbing to age. I just had the other brand gifted to me as a birthday present, and it only lasted for a little over a year. I'm coming back to the Oster family.

This model used to have a great rating, it's the 3rd one I've purchased. The new one I gave as a Christmas gift has VERY POOR strength. It can barely open any bottle. I am very disappointed.

Charging Question

We got this opener a few months ago, and once mastered, it performed flawlessly right up until yesterday. My wife said, "The wine opener quit, and its charger cord is missing." As it turned out, the charger cord was still in its original twist-tie in a kitchen drawer--it had never been attached to the charger. So the opener had apparently opened wine bottles for months on its initial charge--my wife only drinks a couple of ounces per evening, so a bottle lasts quite a while. Anyway, I got it hooked up and charging, as indicated by the red lights on both charger and appliance. Here's the question: Do the lights on the charger change when the unit is fully charged? It's been on the charger for over 12 hours now, and operates normally, but all lights are still red.

Charge took longer than it actually worked

This was a total waste of money. The red light is always on and i have no idea if it recharges but i was able to use to half a dozen times or so.

Please be advised that it will take approximately 6-8 hours to recharge your electric wine opener. When your Electric Wine Opener is fully recharged it can be used to open approximately 30 bottles. Also, the red charging LED light always on when charging the electric wine opener.
