Oster wine opener a waste of money

My opener is brand new, fully charged but will not ope a bottle of wine… tried several different kinds but no luck… it just tears the cork up
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Please note that it has been noted that the Electric Wine Opener may experience problems with a small percentage of plastic/synthetic corks and undersized corks, if in this case the cork should be removed manually.

Worked great and it started mutilating corks

I bought the opener 6 months ago. It has been fantastic. Within the last week, it started mutilating corks. It will penetrate the cork and just keep turning, not ever bringing the cork out of the bottle.

Exceptional product -- the only way may 87 year old Mom can open a bottle of wine!
How anyone could give this less than 5-stars is beyond me -- the idea of "operator error" comes to mind LOL.

No power.

Not enough power to this unit. It barely opens a bottle of wine. Have tried it for months and am sick of it. Going to get a refund.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worked fine until tonight. Cork screw will spin but not move up or down to engage cork
I would recommend this to a friend!

If your wine opener is not working, it might be because the unit was not charged properly. We suggest you try the troubleshooting steps below:
1. Plug one end of the adapter cord into the base of the recharging unit and the other end into the main socket.
2. Place the Electric Wine Opener into the recharging unit ensuring that it is firmly in position and that it is fully engaged with the recharging connection. It will take approximately 6-8 hours to recharge your electric wine opener.
3. When your Electric Wine Opener is fully recharged it can be used to open approximately 30 bottles.
Take note: It has been noted that the Electric Wine Opener may experience problems with a small percentage of plastic/ synthetic corks and undersized corks, if in this case the cork should be removed manually.

Poor quality after 6 months

I received this for a gift at Christmas and six months later it won’t open the wine. the insert will not lower to the wine bottle to pour the cork out
