Great coffee maker

I was given this coffee maker as a house warming gift nearly five years ago. It has been durable and is used sometimes twice daily. My preference is a strong rich blend so the strength settings are a plus. Of course, whenever a friend asks for a brand recommendation, Mr Coffee is mine!!

Loved at first

We love this coffee maker. All the different settings are great. We set the delayed brewing every night. However after about 4-5 months of use it started steaming like crazy every time it’s brewing. Our cabinets above it get wet with condensation and the plastic piece that sits over the carafe has warped making it difficult to get the carafe in and out. I’m not sure how much longer it will continue to work for us.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poorly designed Canister (Leaks)

I have this for about 9 months and although the coffee taste good, it is not hot and requires it too be microwaved to heat it up. Warmer does not keep coffee hot at all. Biggest annoyance is the canister is useless. When filling the maker, the canister leaks and splatters water all over the counter. Really a poor design

Pros and cons

We bought this a couple of weeks ago and some of the features are good, others not so much.
Love the shower head, the basket and the options and for two weeks the coffee maker worked well. A couple of days ago, we noticed water under the pot and on the floor and thought maybe we were filling it too much and the water was coming out of the overflow in the reservoir. That was part of the water problem, but there is also the fact that the brew basket lid overhangs the sides so instead of the steam/condensation going back into the reservoir, when you open the lid to remove the grounds, the water goes down the sides, down the back, on the table, on the floor...
We haven’t had any problems with the decanter fitting, but it is hard to clean and is top heavy.
This morning it brewed about 2 cups and turned itself off. Thankfully we have our old standard Mr. Coffee in our RV, brought that in and we are enjoying a cup as we speak.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible

I tried to run the clean water through before brewing my first pot. It took 45 minutes to run 6 cups of clear water through the coffeemaker. Thank God there is a timer on the pot. I can set it two hours earlier than I wake up and have a cup of old coffee before I go to work.

We definitely understand your frustration and want to help you get your coffee maker brewing correctly. It should only take 1-2 minutes per cup to brew. Depending on how long you have had your coffee maker, a slow brew would be an indicator that it requires internal cleaning. We recommend doing this every 40-80 brews depending on the type of water used during the brewing process. Red coffee maker with digital clock and more

I bought this coffee maker over a month ago haven't used due to moving unpacked it at new place and water is all over counter,floors ,in drawers "What a Mess" I'm not happy.I have tried everything to get it to work nothing is working..
