DO NOT BUY

Bought this 12/13 and after 13months had to replace electric oven control, it was past warranty so had to pay for new EOC. This one lasted 3 weeks, got next one for free but it just went bad so know do I buy another one? Don't think so waste of money!

A Dream Come True

I'm 79 years old and just bought the Frigidaire Gallery Stainless Gas Range. I researched online and read any review I could find. This is the second NEW range I have had in all of my married years. The first one was 60 years ago in our first house. From then on I inherited whatever appliances were in the house we purchased whether it was gas or electric. We built our last house 21 years ago. We purchased a used gas range from my husband's great nephew who was getting divorced. Another used range although I must say I reallyenjoyed it. Living in the Northwoods we were without power a number of times during the year and with gas I was able to cook. That's a real selling point. This Gallery range has everything I needed and then some. The bottom rack that slides out when you open the door is awesome. I find only women seem to understand what a great thing this is. Why didn't we think of that? The 5th burner with a grill is also a plus. The fact that it is not permanent and you can just store it is great. I used the convection oven to bake cookies a few days ago. Two trays in the oven, no moving the trays to a different rack and the bottom of the cookies were nicely browned. Convection is new to me also. I was prepared for the only drawback as my old range had black porcelain around the burners. I think the powers that be could listen to us and change that color. A gray stainless color would be PERFECT. You have to constantly be cleaning around the burners even those you don't use because even the dust shows. Maybe someone could give this some thought. A stainless color on the stainless range would be wonderful. It's still 5 stars regardless. Thanks for making this a great present that I bought for myself. It took me 6 months online and I am not disappointed with my decision. Jean

Cook Surface Lousy

Terrible finish on the stove top and on oven walls and floor. The surfaces do not come clean. They mark and you can scrub until it scratches and it still doesn't come clean.

Love every feature. The cooking grates cool much quicker than I thought they would which speeds my cleanup in the kitchen. Love the way I can move pans across the grates to accommodate other pans for food preparation.

Oven has failed multiple times.

Electronic Board has faied twice within @ one and half year period. (Just out of warranty of course).Replaced twice now oven does not heat according to temp settings. Ex 5.5 hours to cook a 7 lb oven stuffer at 425 degrees F. Error codes F12 originally before repair now F0 code aftwer repairs (190.00 worth ) Also computer board on microwave failed 13 months after Purchase. Both products Frigidaire Gallery Models. Anybody else have problems ? Lets do something about it if Fridgidaire won't ! Joseph Kerr

Glass Door Shattered

Purchased four years ago - don't use oven much, so after Thanksgiving I ran the auto clean - and the glass in the door shattered. Followed all instructions. And one month out of extended warranty. Very disappointing.

Cooks great

Have only had this for about six weeks, but seems to be working great. Can't believe how quickly it boils water and cooks everything else. Kind of hard to keep clean though, the black surface under the burners streaks no matter what I clean it with. Lightbulb burned out in a couple weeks too, hopefully a fluke.
Haven't tried to convection option as I don't bake much. The instructions aren't exactly clear on how to use that feature.
