All of the songs were already leaked and people are saying this is a bad album. The only reason that people think of this as bad Jay-Z music is because his main focus is live instruments. So if all of the beats are live instruments then we're not going to be hear as great as we expect from Timbaland, Kanye West, etc. But that doesn't mean that he doesn't rap good anymore. I have only listened three songs not including DOA and Run This Town, and the lyrics have been good. And no one should even have a full opinion on the album because people should be hearing the whole album September 11th, not August 31st. Whoever leaked the album, shame on you. I'm sure that alot of people would've waited until they were tempted to download it early. I haven't listened to it, so why did I rate it five stars? Well, I always think at first that any Jay-Z album is going to be good. So to make it short, don't listen to the leak if you plan on buying the album. And if you listen just to listen and you don't plan on buying, think about Jay-Z's live instrument theme of the album before you blurt out negative comments.

I'll be honest and say that I have an on again / off again relationship with Jay-Z. Sometimes I like his cds and sometimes I don't. The Blueprint 3 is awesome! There isn't one song on there that I don't like. I blast it when riding in my car.

Well Jay-z is back with the third installment in the blueprint series, and it doesn't disapoint. It's great to see one of hip hop's greats come back and kill it. First off the production is off the hook, he has a lot of great featured guests, if your a fan of Jay-Z go get it, if your not, your loss, classic album.
What's great about it: The beats, the wordplay, the feature guests, the song "one to next one"

This has to be better than his last album "Amercian Gangsta".It has a song called "Empire State Of Mind" featuring Alica Keys, where he talks about what else New York City."Thank You" is a song for his fans for listening to his music. Then Theirs "So Ambitious",where certain people in his life said he wouldn't amount to nothing, but he ended up proving them wrong."Real As It Gets" is a sort of celebration song featuring Young Jeezy, that will get any rap fan rapping along with this song. Then theirs the ballads like "Run This Town',"On To The Next One",and then the controversial song"D.O.A.",which talks about auto-tune is dead. With beats by Pharrell of the"Neptunes" Swizz Beats,Kanye West,Timbaland, and many more.I think that their is a lot of replay value on this album.
What's great about it: Beats,Lyrics,Replay Value
What's not so great: Not Really As Good As His Older Albums

This is overall a good album, and is what it was expected to be. Jay-Z has lost some of his steam, but that is no reason to pass this album up. He picked the right songs to be singles. They are the most radio friendly probably. Songs like "On To The Next One", and "Off That" are good non singles. A couple of the songs that I have heard so far are just average, and I think he just wanted to collabarate with certain people. Also. sometimes artists curse just for the sake of it when it is not needed. That is annoying given you could not play it around your family. Overall, it is a new sound for him. If you like him, buy it. If you are not familiar with him, sample it first.
