This is just a terrific movie with great new actors, fast action, and good plot.
The film is simply Star Trek at its best. You will love the blooper reel...it rocks!!
What's great about it: Well Acted, and Great Fast Action
What's not so great: nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

The picture and audio quality are great in this one. Video is 1080p, audio is Dolby TrueHD 5.1 lossless.
I enjoyed the movie as well.
What's great about it: PQ/AQ Also I did enjoy the movie.
What's not so great: Some people are easily annoyed by the whole time traveling thing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If you’re a fan of Star Trek and have not seen this then you need to have your head examined. For those who are not big sci-fi fans or specifically Star Trek fans this film will still entertain you. The characters I’ve grown up to love have been re-energized and put back on the big screen with a great deal of respect for the original series/movies. Those who don’t know them from Adam I believe will get a great snap shot of things to come. Many of the things we learn about each character were originally revealed over many shows and movies. This could have been a flow and story killer but IMHO works just fine. I can’t wait to see the sequel.
What's great about it: Loved it. Can't wait for J.J. Abrams to kick out the sequel.
What's not so great: I'm not a big fan of the Blu-Ray cover.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The twist introduced to change the course of future Star Trek events was well done... this was a gamble taken at the risk of alienating hardcore Star Trek followers (Trekkers and Trekkies alike), but it was pulled off nicely.
The only weakness I found in the story was the "Red Matter." Spock Prime is flying around the Universe in Vulcan's fastest ship with an enormous cache of unstable cargo. It was shown in the film that only a minute amount of "Red Matter" was needed to create a "singularity," an event that could destroy whole stars and planets. That said, why was Spock traveling with so much of the destructive substance? He could accidentally crash, or be captured (which actually did happen!). In contrast, Spock traveling with so much of the Red Matter would be like Tony Stewart racing in a Ferrari on I-90 with a thousand pounds of enriched Uranium in the passenger seat. It's dangerous and highly unnecessary.
Otherwise, the rest of the movie, including the special features and extras, is spectacular. I can't wait to see future installments of this franchise.
What's great about it: Great twist on an old Sci-Fi Staple
What's not so great: "Red Matter"
I would recommend this to a friend!

This movie is definitly worth buying it has a good replay value I have had it for a month and have already watched it three different times with different friends and I could still watch it again.
What's great about it: one of the best picture qualites I have seen on blu-ray so far
What's not so great: I liked everything
I would recommend this to a friend!

If you love Star Trek, then you will like this movie. If your are new to Star Trek, then you might like it a bit more with all its special effects. Enjoy and Live Long and Prosper.
What's great about it: The basic storyline is entertaining, but opens a lot of holes for those tried and true Trekkers.
What's not so great: The vilian of the story is very predictable and it loses a lots of its punch around him.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
