Transformers BD Does not support Dolby Digital

I cannot believe they released the Blu Ray disk without an English 5.1 Dolby Digital track. The Blu Ray disk only comes with English 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio/French 5.1 Dolby Digital/Spanish 5.1 Dolby Digital and various subtitles. As I played the BD my system reverted back to ProLogic Surround.
I updated the software in both my Sony KDL40XBR6 LCD TV and Sony BDP-S550 Blu Ray player in an effort to restore a Dolby Digital signal that was never there. I even pulled all the Yamaha 2092 stereo components out and checked the cables. To ensure I was still getting the Dolby Digital signal I successfully played a DVD and another BD "Iron Man." A double check of the back of the Transformers BD case revealed the list of supported audio (mentioned above) and a small note "certain advanced features may not play on all machines." Here was my answer.
Oh I was able to play the Transformers BD in French 5.1 Dolby Digital Successfully. I just cannot believe that the Transformers BD was not released with both DTS and Dolby Digital. I have to go to the smaller resolution DVD to get the better sound or listen in French/Spanish. Seems kinda odd.
Needless to say I am very disappointed in this BD.
What's great about it: Cinamatography
What's not so great: No English Dolby Digital Sound track

I liked this movie, however it fell short of expectations, as do many sequels. Megan Fox's character had scenes in the movie that were meant to be quite erotic and really didn't need be. Also, the language from the mouths of the twin Autobots, saying things like, [sounds like "puh + C"], were really not needed in this film. I say this, not as a prude or someone who doesn't enjoy dirty humor, but as a parent of a 4-year old who really enjoys Transformers. The first movie did an excellent job of entertaining its younger, albeit not target audience, without the use of inappropriate material (for the most part). With all of that said, this was a GREAT movie to watch on Blu-ray, as the action scenes were fantastic. I would recommend this movie to everyone, but with a disclaimer to parents, who can use their own judgment on what is/is not appropriate for their children.
What's great about it: It's TRANSFORMERS! Hello?!!
What's not so great: plot & language

I have been a Transformers fan for a while, and ever since the first live-action movie, I have been an even bigger fan. So of course, I was excited for the sequel. After I saw it midnight, I was in love; this movie is awesome! While sometimes the plot gets a bit slow/redundant, and the movie runs probably ten to twenty minutes too long, I still could watch this movie every day.
The CGI is exceptionally well done in the movie - I couldn't tell the robots were CGI at times! They are very life-like and Michael Bay definitely did a good job in making them like humans. To go along with the life-like qualities, the voice acting is out of this world; Peter Cullen, the voice of Optimus Prime, brings such depth and life to this sometimes slow movie. The actors also add to the depth of the movie, especially leading man Shia LaBeouf; who doesn't enjoy a Shia movie?
Overall, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, is a movie for those of us who like a good time and enjoy mindless fun! This isn't a movie that hurts your brain because you have to think so much; it's a movie that you can enjoy just because it's a bunch of fighting robots! What's not to enjoy about that? :)
P.S. If you're buying Blu-Ray, excellent choice! The movie is 10x better with this format!
What's great about it: Fun movie, always enjoyable to watch, good explosions! Also, superb quality with the Blu-Ray.
What's not so great: A bit redundant at times, goes on just a little too long.

5 of 5 movies for the Blu-Ray sci-fi movie Tranformers: Revenge of the Fallen. OK, let's start with an equipment check. Blu-Ray & HDTV, sub-woofer cranked-up, lights out, popcorn in hand. Seat-belt on and here we go. Wow, you want action? You want loud booms and bangs? You want dizzing special effects? This is the movie for you! I just added ths to my list of favorite movies. The plot is relatively simple, but, it just gets in the way of the crashes, explosions and machine-on-machine combat. We have transformers from cockroach size up to monster size. We destroy a steel mill and some historical monuments. Some globe trotting with great scenery. But in summary, its all about the special effects and the transformers. A shout-out for the Blu-Ray version which has a second disk with more contents that the length of the original movie (well over 2 hours of behind the scenes). This movie is highly recommended.
What's great about it: Special Effects, action and sounds
What's not so great: Thin plot, sometimes too much action

Its not as good as the first one,the first transformers showed us a lot of good visual effects and introduced us to some newer actors but i think this is a good example of just trying to revive another sequal they should have just left it off on number one or came up witha better plot this plot was terrible in my opinion but it also had some good effects and the acting is good.
What's great about it: Good Visual Effects,Acting,
What's not so great: Plot,Lacking Action

First of all as a fan of the Transformers I would recommend buying this movie for the Transformers themselves and the battles. The storyline is pretty cool and interesting. What I do not like about the movie is some of the dialogue and parts of the movie we could do without or are vulgar at times. I was hoping after the first one that this would be a whole lot better. I had expectations of what it would be like and it fell short but it is still worth owning if your a fan. I hope Transformers 3 is better and that they do away with what made Transformers 2 dissappointing at times.
What's great about it: The transformers and the battles
What's not so great: The dialogue at times is silly or we could of did without

This is one of those movies that could have been. It could have been much , much, much better. This could very well be the " Batman and Robin" of the transformers series. If the next movie is not a major improvement, I fear that it will be.
What's great about it: It's price is nice
What's not so great: The cover is loud
