GI Joe is an OK movie. There is alot of action in the movie and some great digital effects but the plot isn't very well explained and the acting leaves much to be desired. This is one movie that is not worth watching.
What's great about it: lots of action
What's not so great: bad acting, bad plot....
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

...I watched Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Then, I realized why I thought I had seen the GI joe movie before, because they copied half of what happened in the star wars movie. Like the battles between the mini-subs looks exactly like the fights between the starfighters in space. Then, the white ninja has a double ninja sword (Darth Maul and his double light saber). Also, when the white ninja dies, he gets cut in half and falls down a long shaft, just like Darth Maul. There are still tons of other similarities, too, but I can't remember all of them.
What's great about it: Great action sequences
What's not so great: A lot of the movie seemed familiar, but I had never seen it before...until...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is shot beautifully. There are lots of vibrant colors. Movie is a little childist for my tastes. I had to turn off after the first hour in which I hoped it would get better, it never did.
Buy only if you are a true fan.
What's great about it: Nothin gI had to turn it off.
What's not so great: Its gearned towards little boys. Enjoy!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Once again, a childhood icon has been destroyed by Hollywood. Why is Cobra Commander a putz in this film? Destro is believable, but other Joes like Waynes Ripcord is absolutely AWFUL!!!. This could have been a decent film, but the writing is garbage. Again, this isnt as bad as Transformers 2, but seroiusly, this film is terrible.. DO NOT BUY!!!!
What's great about it: Its not as bad as Transformers 2... but still pretty bad
What's not so great: The plot, characters, writings, acting........
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

From beginning to end this movie was molten! My kids and I were glued to the tv! My home theatre never sounded better. The audio was beautiful and the picture was unbelievable. The acting was great and the special effects had us on our feat! Folks don't believe the nay sayers, this movie kicked butt!! Get it on blu-ray if you have a blu ray player.
What's great about it: Action and special effects!
What's not so great: bad reviews for a great movie
I would recommend this to a friend!

GI Joe updated and made even better being on blu-ray. The extra features plus the bonus copy disc just makes it even better. Finally get to see the Joe characters played by real people and not just animated anymore.
What's great about it: Great movie
What's not so great: nothing

Good action film - though take a little of the humor out and make the next one a 'darker' film. The imitated violence already ensures this film is not for little kids - so let's make it a grown ups action film.
What's great about it: Easy going fun action film
What's not so great: That they did not include a Digital Copy option...
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a really great movie for a home theather. The action and special effect are wonderful Kids realllyget into this movie also
