I purchased this screen as part of my first projector set up. I got the screen at a discounted price as part of a package deal cause I purchased everything at once. The screen is good quality, kinda too bright that the blacks look kinda gray but it might be the contrast on projector or maybe both. It was great size for my 9 foot wide wall. I like how it looks and works with my projector. I don't like the way it smells when its open it has a strong chemical smell. Maybe because its new, but hopefully it goes away soon. I don't like the way it closes, it is not easy to retract I have to pull and let it go fast in order to retract without it stopping 5-6 times before full roll up. but i must keep my hand on it cause it'll slam against the casing. Over all its good fro the price but I would spend extra 100-200 on a better screen.

What's great about it: size, price, quality for the price,

What's not so great: the way it smells, the style of casing

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Perfect step-up from the wall!

Just bought this for the weekend house and couldn't be happier. Had been projecting (from the Brookstone HDMI projector) on a pastel yellow wall but needed something for the downstairs. So happy with this I'm gonna buy another for the city, where I'm currently projecting on a white sheet backed by a black one, suspended from the picture rail and weighted at the bottom with a $2 metal dowel from Home Depot, the whole thing held together with binder clips!

Would like to see the carefully framed and arranged artwork behind the sheets again, but the whole thing is too cumbersome to put up and take down, so once this is mounted it'll be permanent. In the country (where the husband refuses to look at it when it's not in use) I've suspended it on 2 $1 hooks screwed into the ceiling beams, so that's the only hardware visible when the screen's put away. Hanging it takes under a minute, and fortunately the speakers from a shelf system were already on the mantel behind.

I was wary about the mechanism after reading some previous reviews, but I find it operates as easily as a window shade -- MORE easily actually -- maybe I just got lucky.

The dimensions are more than adequate, the price was terrific, the images look great, and I couldn't be happier!

Beautiful picture displayed

I just bought an Epson HD projector and this screen along with it. We hung it from the ceiling with our own hardware in an effort to make it transferable to outdoor hardware for when summer outdoor movie night season starts.

The screen is great! This is my first home theater and for $200, I think I made the right choice. My only issue with it is that the retractable feature takes a little getting used to and you have to pull it pretty hard to get it too retract. That is all the more reason to mount this thing very sturdily into the ceiling or onto a wall. It weights 27 lbs so it needs to be installed correctly. The HD images from the projector looks amazing on it. I would definitely recommend this screen.
