I purchased this becasue I lost my Insignia MP3! It had all the things I wanted PLUS a great price! Took a little getting used to creating playlists properly but still I figured it out the first day. Would be nice to have a hard copy of the manual but I guess I can live without it. Nice sound, perfect size, great price and even an FM tuner!
What's great about it: Price, size, sound and the FM radio option.
What's not so great: Ear buds are a little clumsy to use.

I bought this to replace a 4GB Sansa Fuse that came with Skull Candy earphones in a package, which I, sadly, lost. This unit had twice the storage for the price, nicer screen, and good reviews. I used these predominantly for books on tape. For that purpose the Sansa is a much better choice. First, the Sony loses it's place often. That wouldn't be so bad, but combined with the VERY LAME fast forward on this unit, it's pretty irritating. The FF is a SINGLE speed (slow), unlike the Sansa and Creative units that I've had in the past, where you hold the FF button down and it begins racing through the material.
So the unit is probably great for 99% of you out there who use it for music, but it's a big disappointment for my books on tape usage.
Oh, the headphones sound ok, really. I just can't stand anything but in-the-ear after having Skull Candy. The buds that come with this unit are not the in-the-ear type so I personally hate them, but for they really do sound pretty good quality-wise.
I'm hoping Sony will release new firmware and fix the very frequent (100% of the time if I don't use the unit for like three days) losing my spot in the book and the FF feature deficiency. I dinged the unit in features and durability for this. The physical durability is good, but the software durability is lacking on my unit.
What's great about it: Battery Life, Format Support, Physical Durability, Value, Headphones
What's not so great: Firmware Quirks, Features for Books on Tape, Scratches, Headphones

I first had a Samsung YP-3 MP3 and i LOVED IT!!! My dog ate it and unfortunately they don not make them anymore. So i got this one on sale and with returning my old MP3 i got it for $11. Great Deal! I wish you could put pics as a background and a on the-go playlist like my old one. but for $11 i couldn't pass it up. its very easy to put music on. All you do is drag and drop, its easy to put videos on and the radio reception is 100X better than my old MP3. :-) this is a WONDERFUL MP3 and i describe it as an "ipod touch without the touch." bc/ it has built in speakers and great features. If your are looking for a great MP3 you've found it!!!!! :-) -best of luck.
What's great about it: Easy to put music on, great sound, reasonable size.
What's not so great: can't put pics as wallpaper, can't make on the-go playlists, buttons are touchy.

Easy to load, no frills MP# player. Easy to navigate. Only complaint is pushing volume thru to car radio the volume on the Sony won't go quite high enough to compensate for the road noise. Not unacceptable though. Volume thru the ear bud is good.

I was looking for something cheap but that works! I recently bought this product mainly for working out and it's great; also it is very easy for my son to use he loves it. Very easy to upload your music weather you bought a CD or Mp3 version of a song or songs.

I got one last year, and it was wonderful. It's easy to go through the song list, even with a lot of songs, the radio had pretty decent reception, and it was cheaper than an iPod or some other mp3 player.
The screen scratches easier than other mp3 players I've had, and you can't delete songs unless it's plugged into the computer.
However, after six months, the player just stopped working. The warranty wore out on it, so I couldn't get a replacement, and the site was less than helpful about what to do. Three months later, I still haven't been able to fix it, even when the reset button is pressed, the screen remains the same.
What's great about it: Easy to use, good radio, cheap

Three weeks after I bought the old 8gb E series Walkman, this new one came out and I went back and exchanged it and got some money back. I have tryed three different Video Walkmans and this one is the best and the cheapest. The Clear Bass and Clear Stereo technology makes my music sound great (replaced the junky earbuds with better ones). The only problem is that the plastic body scratches up really easy and it doesn't support MP4 videos. I use it everywhere I go. For this price (used a coupon and got it for $72), it is amazing.
What's great about it: Best sound quality
What's not so great: Scratches easy, cheap earbuds

I bought this great little toy just today and felt the need to post a review since I'm kind of in shock over this. For $80 I expected an average MP3 player. But after playing with it for a few hours, I'm in awe. It sounds much better than my 30g Zune that cost twice as much. The headphones that are included sound very very good compared to my $20 earbuds for my Zune. I've had it on non stop for a few hours now and the battery hasn't moved a lot. My only complaint is the bundled software is a bit too easy. It is just drag and drop software..not many features. But the player itself is AMAZING!! A need to own MP3 player
What's great about it: Great Price, Easy to use, Looks great, sounds AMAZING
What's not so great: Transfer software too simplistic
