I thought this was a great concept. In theory to have a unit that can go from a refrigerator to a freezer depending on need would be amazing. The unit can not maintain its temperature. I have had to have repairs done on the brand new unit 3 different times already. Very frustrating!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lots of Room

This item is great. Very simple to program. I use it as a refrigerator at 33 degrees and keeps a constant temperature. Downside it looks like a freezer inside. It could use a bit of upgrade. Otherwise, very happy with my purchase.

Great Idea Ref/Freezer

Had this a few months now ,works great so far , I am using it now as a Freezer .The only problem I have is that the door is hard to open probably since it is new and has great suction on the door seal.Which I guess is a good thing

Best of both worlds in a sophisticated product

I purchased this item as a second fridge / freezer for when we bulk buy at the local warehouse store or have a party. This is the best appliance we have ever bought, the quality and finish is exceptional. The sleek design and simple touch control panel compliments it well.
The ability to load the fridge up, then later quickly set it to freezer mode and preserve left overs is very useful. When you open the large sturdy door, the LEDs light up the well configured interior so you can find everything. After a second of shutting the door, the compressor quietly kicks in to flash freeze everything and get the temperature back down to where it should be.

Terrific fridge!

We've had the fridge for a little over two months and love it.
Pros:
1. Sips electricity. We're off-grid, 100% solar so we watch power carefully. The
energy star rating was a selling point for us, and apparently is meaningful.
2. Easy to find stuff. Bright LED lighting, clear shelves, big door. We were worried about the lack of gallon storage in the door... not an issue. The bins in the door are big enough for condiments, seasonings, wine, etc., making plenty of room in the main compartment for big items.
3. Quiet.
Cons: None yet. Although getting it into place was a bit tricky - but I think we were just being overly cautious about the floors and walls.

Great Freezer

Freezer: great! Refrigerator: no so much.

Bought 2 of these about a month ago to set side-by-side in the basement. One was to be used as a freezer and one as a refrigerator.
The one being used a freezer holds the temperature nicely with a variation from top to bottom of about 10 degrees, but stabilizes nicely over time.
The other unit came with a bad circulating fan so once that was replaced it holds the temperature *better* but not great. When the refrigeration kicks on and the unit's temperature set at 40 degrees, the temperature at the bottom of the unit drops to about 30 - which makes me a little nervous that our stuff down there will freeze. Over time it stabilizes to an even 40 throughout.
I'm using 4 refrigerator/freezer thermometers to measure the temperature and have moved them about the various shelves in the two units to make sure none of the thermometers are reading oddly.

Remarkable storage space

We thoroughly researched the replacement of our 10 year old Frigidaire refrigerator and could not be more happy with a more spacious Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer. Amazingly, we get to choose the method of use!
