At first I was distressed with this camera, because the image quality in optimal conditions was not that much better than my Xti. However, after a month of use, I have to say it is great. I simply had to learn how to get the most out of the camera. This camera can go where the xti cannot....lowlight/fast action. Sunset/sunrise. I am happy with the purchase. I use good lenses and with that combination especially the 70-200, this camera is a great value.
What's great about it: Ease of use, fast shutter speed, lots of features
What's not so great: learning curve for getting sharp shots out of the box
I would recommend this to a friend!

My only issue with this camera is its use of the Compact Flash I or II. It would be much easier if it used the widely used SD card. Compact Flash is almost impossible to find, even Best Buy doesn't carry them in store (rather ironic considering they sell cameras that use them). Besides that, the quality is amazing and the control is wonderful! I highly suggest this!
What's great about it: Quality, control
What's not so great: required use of Compact Flash I or II memory card

Can't go wrong with this camera. Even better than the 5D in my opinion. Faster burst rate. Buy body only and get lenses on your own. Kit lenses do not do this camera justice. I love my Canon 50mm f1.4, wide angle and fish eye on this camera.
What's great about it: Burst rate of 8 fps.
What's not so great: Kit lenses are junk. Buy body only.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I got this camera my senior year in high school for an early graduation gift. I used it in my AP class, and brought it to college, where I study photography. This camera is AMAZING. I couldn't have asked for anything better.
The camera itself is excellent, but I could recommend buying a nicer lens. I bought a 24-70mm lens (no complains on that one)
What's great about it: Manual Settings, Quality, Durability
I would recommend this to a friend!

This canon camera launched me into the 21st century !! I have been useing Minolta for 35 years and made the switch back to Canon ( had a Canon AE Program in 1979 ) and I'm glad to be back. I have nothing negative to say about the new 7D. Very easy to use and takes breath taking photos.
What's great about it: Top notch equipment !!!
What's not so great: Money is always the down side of anything !!
I would recommend this to a friend!

I wanted a camera that could deliver high speed action for baseball and football games with a WOW! While I had my heart set on a Nikon D7000, I decided to go ask some about which camera can give me what I want for the action shots I want. In this price range, all cameras should give you great portraits and take great shots, but what if you are looking to capture sequential shots of a pitcher and immediately turn to catch the action of a play erupting at second base? Well this is the camera for you if you aren't ready for the pro models but want pro results. Slightly noisy and heavy so a monopod is recommended and don't take it to your library!
What's great about it: Excellent focus and processing speed for action, great optics for clarity
What's not so great: A bit heavy, dark or low light action can be a challenge
I would recommend this to a friend!
