I love this camera - all features are great - took some getting used to some of the newer features such as the 19 point AF - if one of the points isn't focused on the object you want in focus - your pics will not be what you expect. I've shot a little over a thousand pics so far (had the camera since mid October 2012) - both motion and stills - Love it! Have been a Canon owner since I was a child - learned from my dad - from the old regular film cameras - which I still have, to my first digital and so on.....have had experience with others - would / will ALWAYS come back to Canon!
What's great about it: Excellent Features!
What's not so great: Takes some getting used to -AF

Fast, clear shots. Excellent 'feel', great controls...Some auto focus weirdness under artificial light. Overall, very happy and glad I spent more on this and skipped the T2i.
What's great about it: Controls, image quality
What's not so great: Auto Focus weirdness

This is my first DSLR camera and I am blown away by it. It's a little complicated for a novice like myself, but once you figure everything out it takes phenomenal pictures and video.
The lens that it comes with 25-135 is ok for a starter lens, but I've already found myself buying a couple of others to complement it.
What's great about it: Pretty much everything.
What's not so great: Price is a little high.

This is an upgrade from a Canon XSi. WOW! What a difference! Along with the purchase I was able to score a 24-105 L IS lens for it. The combination is just awesome.
The auto focus is spot on with any of my lenses (both L and non-L lenses). I get almost all images able to be blown up to 100% with exactly the effects I was trying to achieve. 200% blow ups is not at all unreasonable and is available on more than 1/2 of the images. When combined with 18 MP, it allows for gigantic blow ups!
The dual Digic 4 processors can process images at 8 fps and have all of them razor sharp. It also can really process the images for popping contrast without ever post processing.
The only thing I've been able to fake out is the auto white balance. However, post processing very easily corrects that. The only place it gets iffy is in extreme environments - like today with over 20" snow on the ground so everything was white or white on white (an easy way to fake out WB).
The software supplied is the very capable of corrections and enhancements. I use it frequently for small corrections. Adobe Camera Raw is excellent for post processing.
Only drawback I've had is my version of Photoshop. CS3 won't process the raw images. But that isn't Canon's fault! That is Adobe just being greedy because they want you to buy CS4 for lots of extra money.
The camera is built very well and has great weather resistance. Out in the snow today I didn't worry one bit about the camera or lens. They both did great and at the end of the shoot I went back to the house and dried off the camera and lens with no problems at all.
I would recommend this camera as well as the price of an L lens to anyone who is serious about photography.
What's great about it: AF, Build, Low Light, 18 MP, Weather Proof, Intuitive,
What's not so great: Price

This camera is amazing. I have been shooting for a few years now and recently upgraded from a Canon Rebel XTi. It is very easy to use if you are already used to using Canon DSLRs. Under low light situations, while using high aperture lenses, ISO can be stepped up to 2000 and still come out crisp with little noise. The 19 point focus is very useful when using AI focusing. The shutter is very fast and quiet. The video mode very sharp and easy to do.
What's great about it: Great picture quality, easy to use, very fast

Phenomenal pictures!!!! Got this camera after seeing a good friend's pictures and video from his 7D, I have to say that I am extremely impressed. I have not had time yet to go over the learning curve on this unit, but what I have gone over so far is easy. Great unit for the dollar.
What's great about it: Value for dollar, photo and video quality, well built
What's not so great: A little heavy, but so what???
I would recommend this to a friend!
