If you're like me, and like to shoot photos and video, this is the camera for you. To be able to grab one camera for vacations, trips, or gigs...that's cool. You can read all the specs and details about this camera online (there's always somebody that dosen't like something about it), but I just want to say that once you have the camera in your hands and you learn how to use it, it's truely a great camera!
Go get one man! Especially now that Best Buy is offering 18 months with no finance charges...
What's great about it: Crazy photos and full HD...need I say more?
What's not so great: I can't think of much
I would recommend this to a friend!

Amazing pictures even before any touch ups! I am so glad I invested in this camera even though it was hard to pay the price for this one! SO much quieter than my Xti. The 28-135 lens lets me take all the pictures I have attempted with no problems.
What's great about it: The most amazing pictures I have taken with any SLR I have previously owned.
What's not so great: A little pricey and a little heavier than my other SLR Cameras.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great camera with easy to use features

I upgraded from a Canon 20D and really like the features on this camera - ease of viewing and changing settings. It has 3 customizable settings that are very helpful. I have downloaded from Canon and other forums settings that I registered to the three custom settings for less saturated and softer skin tones and, and these settings work wonderfully. At first I was disappointed that the skin tones seemed oversaturated as they did on my 20D, but this is solvable using the customized settings - now I'm really pleased with it all. I also like the small and medium raw settings. This camera does great in low light conditions using higher ISO settings.
What's great about it: Ease of use and image quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Camera Easy to use

I hesitated to purchase this camera due to the high price but now that the price shock has worn off, I am really glad I purchased it. To date this is the best camera that I have owned – and I have owned many, both digital and film. The reaction time is phenomenal - there is little to no hesitation between shots. This Camera is very easy to use and take excellent shots. The HD movie feature also eliminates the need for me to bring along my other video camera and equipment which makes packing much easier. I have since purchased the high dollar lenses since the picture quality using my older auto focusing lenses with this camera was not as good as the newer auto focus/image stabilizing lenses. I could not be happier.
What's great about it: Easy to use, takes great shots, fast reaction time
What's not so great: a little pricy and heavy
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just upgraded from a Rebel. This is an excellent camera with lots of features. I had to buy a book to really learn how to tap into what the camera has to offer. This is a fast camera and the picture quality is remarkable. I was torn between the 7D and the 60D but chose the 7D for it's 19 pt. focusing ability, which I am still learning to use. A great camera for the more advanced ameture photographer especially if you are into shooting sports.
What's great about it: focusing ability and, low noise at a higher ISO, very fast at 8 fps
What's not so great: price
I would recommend this to a friend!

This camera is great. The weight is perfect, and feels extremely sturdy. Picture quality is fantastic, and it is fairly easy to figure out. One excellent feature is the autofocus, as it is extremely fast and sharp. I would recommend this camera again and again...its wonderful.
What's great about it: Auto focus, worth the money, custom functions
What's not so great: Joy stick takes some getting used to
I would recommend this to a friend!

I finally upgraded from my first digital rebel in 2004 to EOS 7D and I'm glad I did. This camera has so many great features.
The clarity and detail of the photo's is just amazing.
Works extremely well for a crop camera.
If your looking to upgrade from a rebel this is a great camera to move up to.
And I picked up Canon Speedlite 580 EX II External Flash to go with it.
Btw, I recommend the Canon Speedlite 580 EX II External Flash not the 430. I wasn't given the option to choose the 580 EX II on here.
What's great about it: Speed indoors and out.
What's not so great: Nothing yet.
I would recommend this to a friend!

BEST camera for the price!!!!!

This is my second DSLR and I had been researching cameras for awhile. This camera was far and above the best! My brother bought a Sony A65 and it's picture quality and features can't come close to this camera. My other brother bought a Sony Nex5d and it can't come close to this camera either. If you want something that is professional quality that will last you for just about forever, this camera is it!!!!! LOVE IT!!!!!!!
What's great about it: EVERYTHING!!!!!!! TONS OF FEATURES AND EXCELLENT PICTURE QUALITY!!!!
What's not so great: Nothing!
I would recommend this to a friend!
