Camera has video whitch i didn't want nut after playing with it and watching videos on the web it's great, The pic's are great ordered a L glass lense and the pictures come out great every time, has more features i upgraded from a 20D.

Best HD DSLR On The Market

I already knew before buying this camera that is was absolutely amazing. Finally, an HD DSLR where you can get film quality video at 24p at more reasonable price. The audio issue that I mentioned above doesn't bother me, because I use a separate field audio recorder. I have not used the metering or any manual settings, because I use manual focus Nikkor prime lenses with an adapter ring. Overall, this camera is amazing.

What's great about it: Great Quality Pictures And Video, Customizable Picture Settings

What's not so great: The On Camera Microphone was placed in a wierd place and you can't monitor levels

I would recommend this to a friend!

Canon 7D

Pretty good so far. I just need to get better understanding all of the controls/adjustments/etc. Much better pictures than my 30D, specially in low light conditions. I've shot at 1600 and 3200 so far with pretty good results. Haven't worked much with the video functionality yet, but plan on shooting a short film with it this Spring.

What's great about it: Speed, performance, great manual adjustments

What's not so great: Haven't had any problems yet.

I would recommend this to a friend!

The Next Generation

Like no other camera on the market, this camera sports an on board flash controller like the nikons, better video than the 5d mark III with a smaller price tag. Through in my favorite 50d feature, AF Micro Adjustment and this baby rocks.

Someone doesn't like the price? Get over it, this camera does more than any Nikon or Canon out there and is priced at an appropriate price!

What's great about it: 1080 HD Video, AF Micro Adjust and flash control built in.

An outstanding upgrade

I am upgrading from a Canon Rebel XTi, and this camera is simply amazing! The focus is spot on (once you understand the settings, and are able to adjust), and the image quality is spectacular. Compared to the XTi, my keeper rate on action shots is much higher, and the higher burst rate is a blast! My reasoning for the 4 stars on value for the price - Great camera but $1k over the Ti2 to get the better focusing and faster shooting rate? Not a great value if you do not need them. Ease of use? The camera has many options and takes a while to learn. Once the menu's are understood they are fine, but there is a learning curve.

What's great about it: Focus, Picture quality, Build

What's not so great: Expensive battery

I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Camera

The Canon Eos 7D is a great camera. Some may be overwhelmed by the camera, but this is a good step up if you wanna go beyond the consumer DSLRs. The heft and construction of the camera is great, and the pictures are wonderful also. High ISOs mean you can make pictures even when it gets dark. The HD video capture is wonderful bonus and the full time manual exposure for video capture is great also.

What's great about it: Really good pro-sumer camera. HD video capture is a really big bonus, though I use it primarily for stills.

What's not so great: None.

I would recommend this to a friend!
