So far have not found a single problem with this camera for me. The video is very nice and so far have had no problems. The controls are simple and the camera is a little difficult to use at first but then is very simple after a few times of shooting with it. No complaints!! It is a little heavy but that is hardly noticable when shooting.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Heavy/Bulky

Captures every moment with blazing fast speed & accuracy. This camera has made me look so good among my peers; I can't recommend it enough! Go for it with confidence; you won't regret it.
Pros: speed accuracy responsiveness solid build.

Canon's Best Crop Camera Yet
on January 26, 2011

This was my sixth Canon DSLR: 300D, 350D, 5D, 40D, 50D, 7D, and now 5D MKII. There is no question that the user interface on the 7D is the best I have used. The customization possible is wonderful. I especially like the Quick Menu, My Menu, AF Microadjustment, the grid overlay in the viewfinder and in Live View, the level, the AF point options, button assignment choices, and remote flash.
All these features take a while to master, but the power is well worth it. Among the few things I would like to see added in the 7D MKII are an articulated screen like the 60D and reassignment of the print button (on a serious camera like the 7D, does anyone hook up to a printer and print directly without postprocessing first on a computer?).
The only rough spot for me is controlling a flash. The menu items and what they do are not intuitive.

Great Camera

This camera is very good, I love it for sport shoots. At 8 fps and good video you don't miss anything. This is a great camera to take places you would not want to risk more expensive cameras. I do recommend using the kelvin scale or custom white balance over the AWB but that can be said for most any camera. Image noise is pretty low not as good as the 5D mark 2 but you still can get some great shots. I would recommend this camera to anyone who shoots sports or to use as a backup camera to a full frame like the 5D mark 2 or to save money while you wait for canons next new thing (like the great rumors of the 5D mark 3). This will get the job done when paired with good glass.
Pros: Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best non-full frame SLR available

I studied the full-frame vs non full-frame options and based on my current lenses (Canon 10-22, Canon 2.8 70-200L, and Canon 17-85 APS) plus the fact that the 7D was a newer model than the 5 IId, with some improved features over the higher-priced camera, I opted for the 7D. That also gives me time to buy a dedicated flash later instead of needing it right away. Each person may feel differently, but I have not regretted the decision at all. The image quality, ease of learning (I had a 20d previously), the video options, and the increased megapixel count, I felt the camera was a real value for the money. The build quality and materials made this a better camera for my purposes than the other lower-priced APS Canons, although some may not care. I am in the field a lot and don't want to take a chance with a plastic body or less water-tight seals. This camera will not disappoint! The video takes a little getting used to, but it is a new additional fun feature to try out and I am getting the hang of it now. It is really a major upgrade from my older Canon 20D.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Solid Operation, easy to use, 1080p video
