Amazing Camera

My new Canon 70D is amazing! I jumped from the 20D to the 70D and I'm so happy I did. The new camera is so intuitive to use. Very easy to navigate the menu and the dials. Intelligent Scene Auto is spot on. I have had trouble taking photographs inside my home – they would always be yellow or orange. Now they are true to color. The added focal points were a big factor in my decision to upgrade to the 70 D.

Excellent SLR camera

I shot most of the time women`s Fashion and this camera is really good I love to shoot action shots and Canon 7D does it very well.
Pros: quiet, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Short battery life

best pictures-most complicated system

I got great pictures with the camera at auto settings. However when I tried to set my own preferences it was a nightmare. There are just too many vairables.
The manual leaves a lot to be desired. I bought a third party book which didn't help either.
This is probably my 10th digital camera and my 4th canon.
Bottom line the picture come out great.

Working long hours I'm not lucky enough to use this camera as much as I would like but when I do nothing makes me happier. The only mistakes this 7D makes are the ones on the back side where the operator gets a little to anxious and rushes a shot. I was aprox. a hundred feet away from an outdoor concert at night using an L lens camera hand held, I was using only the lights directed at the band members and only the IS in the 7D camera since my lens didn't have one. Breathing out slowly as if firing a gun I squeezed the shutter button again and again, to my surprise the images were clear bright with very little noise. I would like to have another 7D to set them up with separate lenses.

Cons: Complicated controls/menu

Best camera purchase I have made

The 7D is a great camera. Advanced but easy to use. Very good for all shooting , but exceptional for telephoto. I recently added my first L lens (70-200 L F/4 IS USM) and picture quality is wonderful. I am so happy with Canon, I hope to add the new 1D X body.

The canon 7d captures outstanding colors in its HD video mode and has great low light capabilities
