My husband bought me this camera to replace my Rebel Xsi. The 7D is an amazing camera from the fully automatic to the self-programing modes. It is easy to learn and a joy to use. I have not taken a "bad" shot yet. I use it to take pics of my grandchildren in their daily activities and spoting events.
Pros: easy to use, great pictures, full of features
Cons: a little heavy with the lens
I would recommend this to a friend!

My first DSLR, and so far the best purchase I've ever made in the past few years! I can say with confidence that this could be easily considered Canon's Flagship camera. Built quality is impressive, speed is unmatchable. Picture quality, lets not even go there... simply amazing! I'm a Canon fan, and I find myself comparing this camera with other brand cameras, and I still think I've made the best purchase. Great video capabilities. Put a good L lens on it and you'll be amazed! The only regret that I have is to have never purchased it sooner.
Now go shoot...!! Enjoy it !!
Pros: built quality, speed, controls, features flash control, weatherproof, robust, battery life, superb lcd quality
I would recommend this to a friend!

As a pro how can you use a camera that will give you about a 35% in focus, and some times even less. I got it as a second body and is a piece of junk..Many photo shoots ruened..All I can say to anyone setting tobuy this camera a a sencond camera you would be better off buying a power shot
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, Superior build quality, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu
Cons: Dim LCD, Shaky operation, Poor image quality, noisy, Difficult to use
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Canon 7D

I shot another brand forever. I was tired of the poor pictures on the sidelines of the high school football games. A Canon seemed to be a favorite of the photographers around me. I read that the 7D was the best choice in the mid price range to accomplish this task. I purchased the 7D. I soon found out that the kit lenses did not work for me on the sidelines. I invested in a faster f2.8 lens. After a year of shooting Friday night football with this new set up, I found that even though I was getting some ok pictures, most of them were very grainy or noisy under the poor lighting conditions at most high schools.. I still did not have the equipment to get quality shots at low light sports action. This prevented me from getting a part time job shooting sports for a website. The 7D is an excellent overall camera, but don't expect to get quality pictures at low light fast action sporting events. I am looking at the newer Canon 7D Mark ll. It just might be what I need to reach my goals.

PQ very poor muddy and soft Large Grain in 400 ISO. Consumer grade CMOS .
Over all very expensive consumer level camera…. Nice video but audio unusable…Lack of any control over the audio make this future useless unless you planning to shoot silence video. In video mode no auto focus.
