Brings new meaning to up, up, and away!

Pixar does a wonderful job with this film. They normally do, but this one goes beyond.
The beginning is an emotional tale that leaves you wanting the best for Carl. I have watched each individual Pixar film, and animated films from all over, and I don’t believe there is a more emotional story to be told through animation than this.
There is a Carl in all of us at some point in our lives. As a child, he sees his role model living out his dreams and fantasies, wanting nothing more than to one day be that person going on those adventures. He eventually gets married and a job, but throughout his life, that dream is still in the back of his head. After a life of disappointment, he finally has had enough and goes on his trip, with an unexpected twist, he brought along a little boy scout whose father had not been there for him much. You might say, ‘This all sounds sad for an animated film, especially Pixar and Disney.’ This movie is also very funny as all Pixar films, and in the end, you will be happy you watched it.
I won’t say more, because the movie speaks for itself. I only hope Pixar will be able to follow up this accomplishment with the release of their next movie.
What's great about it: It is an animated film made for children, adults, and anywhere in between.
What's not so great: Beginning a touch dark for the kiddies.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This movie is great for all ages. The story line is great. A love story for the ages in cartoon format. And the vision of how to keep an open heart and follow your dreams, but allow room for changes as they happen. I, as an adult loved the fact that the old man opened his heart to new people and challenges. This is a wonderful movie for all to see.
What's great about it: Bright colors, cast is great, the bird, Kevin, is fun.
What's not so great: Grandbabies didn't like that there was no talking during the establishing the couples relationship.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The 4-disc special is great as you get the blu-ray, dvd, extras, and an actual digital copy. The picture is beautiful. The plot is well developed- both children and adults can easily follow. It has a very nice story line. Overall the movie was very cute even though it dealt with the loss of a loved one. It does so in a way that may actually help some grieving children without throwing other kids into shock. I would recommend this to children (and adults) of all ages.
What's great about it: The picture (especially in HD) is beautiful
What's not so great: haven't found that yet

This is a great movie for the entire family. The kids were thoroughly entertained, and so were we! The characters are funny and lovable.
Lots of memorable one-liners.
What's great about it: Dug and Kevin

This was an excellent animated movie. As always the extras on these types of movies are great. it comes with multiple discs. There is a short story about Dug the dog that my daughter likes to watch more then the movie.
What's great about it: Good movie for the grandparents to watch with kids
What's not so great: Nothing

This film is another success for Disney/Pixar.
Thankfully, they are different than the rest. They come up with original ideas.
Beautiful animation.
A disappointment-NO GOOD MUSIC. Remember when Disney films had good music/songs? Sure miss those days. Memorable songs? Oscar winning songs? Those were the days.
This has the digital copy. Good idea, but I would like to see some different extras like Disney used to. More information on the film, showing more in depth stuff.
NO chapter list, you just do NOT get these anymore & I want them.
And, Disney/Pixar, why the horrible flip the little flap DVD case/holder? Now, I looked at the single disc DVD & IT DID NOT HAVE THIS HORRIBLE FEATURE, SO WHY DOES THE MORE EXPENSIVE HAVE THIS. Hate them.
What's not so great: Stand extras & HORRIBLE DVD CASE/HOLDER
I would recommend this to a friend!
