Very easy set-up instructions. Can't tell the difference in the quality of sound on phone. Ported number over with no problems. Customer Service has been excellent with very helpful folks on the phone

Love Ooma and their products. Was slightly disappointed that a couple of the advertised features, like downloading contacts list directly to "ooma" handset isn't available yet. Other than that - great device, sleek, easy to use, nice to look at.
What's great about it: Sleek design and easy to use
What's not so great: Not all advertised features available at time of purchase

Great device to lower your home phone bill if still need a hard line phone. The port charge is under $40.00 if you need to keep your old number and it can take up to 3 weeks to finish the port, but this is dut to the companies involved and not all OOMA fault. It can also work with Fax machines and security systems but requires some setup to make them communicate clearly.
What's great about it: No monthly bills for a phone line
What's not so great: High startup cost, but recoved quickly.

I believe that this is the way home telephone service is going. It took about 3 weeks for my existing number to be transferred from Time Warner to Ooma, but it was done on the day promised and the only thing I had to do was move the phone line from the back of the Time Warner cable modem to the back of the Ooma Telo. After about 15 seconds I was connected to the Ooma service. Now I have no monthly home phone bills. The sound quality is equal to or better than the phone service via Time Warner Digital phone, and I like the oomaaaaa dial tone.
What's great about it: II have replaced Time Warner Digital phone and now save $30.00 per month
What's not so great: Have NO problems with this product

Moved to an apartment that didn't get great cell phone reception. I refused to pay $20-40/month for landline service so we ended up dealing with the poor reception or using Skype on the computer(works great) or iPhone(which doesn't work great). After researching Skype phone adapters and not wanting to have to rely on a computer I found OOMA on sale at Best Buy. The description made it seem too good to be true, but when all was said and done we ended up with the perfect solution! The device itself is nice and very easy to setup. You get your own phone number just like Skype Out Service, but without the yearly fees or necessary computer connection. (BEWARE:You can transfer your existing landline phone number to this service but it costs an additional 1 time $40.) As long as this company remains in business and you always have internet, you will never need to pay for a landline phone again. I reecommend this device so the company stays in business and us users can keep this free service as long as possible!
What's great about it: Just works, great design, no more phone bills, more convenient than skype

This is a great system but what is lacking is the features connected to the telo handsets. They do not allow for added features. Unable to edit contact list, cannot add contacts through website. I would buy different headsets than the telo. Other than that I have had no complaints.
What's great about it: Easy to set up and nice pleasant appearance
What's not so great: Web site does not support all of the features.

I bought this in February of 2009. I was very apprehensive since I didn't know about the sound quality. I was paying AT&T sixty dollars a month for an unlimited long distance home phone plan (720 per year). It paid for it's self in four months! I am so happy I bought it. The sound quality is great and I've saved a lot of money!!

If you are paying for internet why not get more out of it. I have had no problems with Ooma Telo. Very easy to use pretty much plug and play. Using the Ooma Telo with Cox cable and Apple AirPort Extreme dual band router. I'm saving $30.00 a mo. now, and that with me paying $9.99 a mo. for Ooma Premier service . The Premier service has good features....
