First Blu-Ray player.

We purchased this Blu-Ray player with a new Samsung TV. Setup was simple. Remote is well set up and easy to use. The fact that it is backwards compatible with DVD's and upgrades the image is very impressive.
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

While we mostly speak out about products that we find disappointing occasionally we get something that exceeds our expectations. Such has been my evaluation of the BLD player. It started by finding a very good rating in Consumer Reports. Since installing it I have nothing but praise for the quality of the product. It contains many features not available in my previous player and the quality and ease of use is impressive.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

On more than two occasions I have been unable to open Netflix or even to get the unit to come on using the remote control, the disk holder would not activate either. On both occasions after a few days or two/three weeks it started working again. Not batteries; I installed a new set of Duracell batteries during each of the down times.
I still don't know what the problem was/is.

The Samsung BD-F5700 is the best Blu-ray player I've owned.
I had trouble playing some Blu-ray disks on other name brand players. These same disks played perfectly on the Samsung.
The Samsung loads the fastest & is more compact in size & has a crystal clear picture.
Liked it so much that I recently bought a second one.
I would recommend this model to everyone.

The movies and sound is as if you are at the movie theater live.

Smart Blu- ray DVD player

This is such a neat piece of equipment, it plays dvd's and cd's very well and has turned my tv into a smart tv. What more can I ask for.

Have not had this blue-ray player 9 months and it has stopped working. It will not play discs at all! Working to have it fixed under warranty right now...
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Features and simple to use

Overall after using this player for a couple of months now its been quite good, It has a few exceptions but I believe the updates fixed most of them. The interface is simple to use and doesn't require a genius to figure them out (me for example) I believe Samsung has a very good product design. One issue I have is no led light to show that the player is on or off for that matter, the only way I knew it was on was the little glow from it when it was pitch black and fell asleep watching it. But aside from that its a home run.
Pros: Inexpensive, easy to use, sleek design
Cons: no lights on the front
