What's great about it: speed, cost
What's not so great: software compatability
No more waiting for my printer to catch up- this all-in-one seems to move seemlessly from printing, copying, scanning, and faxing. Toner is reasonably priced too. I did originally have to mess with the scanning feature a little bit, but it was a software issue, not a printer issue. I've had this working pretty much non-stop for over a year and no issues at all.

What's great about it: It's fast !!!!!!!!!!! Duplexing is easy.
What's not so great: A little louder than the Xerox copier we replaced.
I replaced a 1996 Xerox XC1020 copier with this machine. Very fast. Simple to use. My wife wanted the duplex feature and she loves it. We are using it as a stand alone copier for now as we have other machines for faxing and printing receipts/invoices, however, we wanted the flexiblility if one of the others breaks down. Not using the wireless capability yet.
I have used the USB port to copy several times, but the screen output to select the file name is short. This USB port is a convenient feature to have.
I have 3 other Brother printer/MFCs and am happy with this latest Brother.

What's great about it: Features, speed and print quality.
I bought this printer for my small one-man office. My criteria was that it had to be: laser, all-in-one and wireless. It also had to be able to handle bigger loads in case I expanded in the near future. This printer was one of few that met that criteria. The reviews were good so I gave it a shot.
This printer has tons of options many of which I have yet to use. When starting a new business with no support staff in a competive field, my philosophy re technology is, "better to have and not need, than to need and not have." Of course it has to fit your budget but this is about as big a machine as one needs before getting into the crazy expensive, built-in stapler printer range.
It also looks extremely professional. I think it is very "Busch League" when you walk into someone's office and they have what looks like a printer that they took out of their kid's room. When you walk into an office and see a piece of equipment like this, it gives the business a sense of legitimacy. I also bought the additional paper tray because I got tired of changing the paper whenever I wanted to print on bond paper. The added tray makes this machine look even more official. However, this doesn't just look good, it performs impressively as well.
I've had to call tech support for guidance on a few features and I must say they were very, very helpful.
The only negative issue I experienced is that the document feeder skipped pages sometimes. Not gonna lie, this can be very, very annoying b/c incomplete copies can be a huge issue in my profession. In fairness, I may have damaged the feeder when I yanked pages that I wrongly fed into it. I actually sent the printer in for service to repair this issue at no cost since it was still within warranty.
Lastly, the high-yield toner is worth it.

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: Nothing yet
I just got this machine a few weeks ago. I had an out dated hp all-in-one, which does not even compare to this machine. I already had a seperate laser printer but needed a good scanner, since they dont really sell stand alone scanners anymore I was forced to upgrade all of my machines to this one. I cant tell you how much easier life is with this machine. i would find my self having to run into the office everytime I needed to scan or to make more then a few copies. Now I am able to do ALL my tasks right from home. The fax is insanly quick, not to mention the scanner. I am in Real Estate so i hav eto scan muliple documents at a time (upto 70 now with this machine even though it says the feeder only takes 50) not once has it taken multiple sheets at a time. THe factory settings did need changed due to the need for increased speed when scanning but even with that the image is still very celar and it is super fast. I love that all my computers in the house can print to this machine from any where. I got this item on sale for $429 and although it was tough to spend that much now looking back it was ans is worth every penny !!!

What's great about it: Everything
What's not so great: It is big
I bought this product for work to replace a Canon Faxphone L75 we were using as a Fax and Printer. The toner in generic form was around $70!
This new Brother is FAST. I haven't had the need to try the double sided copy feature. I love the way it faxes. I have yet to have it take more than one page @ a time. That's a big plus. Also, I have found generic toner for this machine and it is a lot cheaper than what I paid for Canon generics!
