I was really looking forward to this one, but have to say I am a little disappointed. Zero extras. Japanese audio is included but is 2.0. It would have been good to have a 5.1 remix of the Japanese included. I have heard there are missing sfx from the English 5.1 audio.

This edition of the original GITS movie is by far the cleanest visually. The biggest downside, and the thing that seems to give everyone the most pause, is that only the English dub track is available in digital surround (DTS-ES 5.1, I believe). The Japanese audio track is DD 2.0. Which seems like a step backward compared to the 2004 deluxe DVD reissue that had DD and DTS 5.1 tracks for both Eng and Jpn.
But, as a GITS franchise die-hard, I had to have it.
