Every year we have one week of black copies and faxes from static. The machine is only 2 years old and needs to be replaced already. I know others who have the machine have not had the same problems, so I think ours is a lemon.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

New Purchase

I have owned three other brands of fax machines. This is the first time I purchased a Brother. So far, I am more than pleased in the quiet operation and jam-less situation. Initially, it took me more time to set up but definitely was worth the time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Constant error messages

We purchased 2 Intellifax 4100 e.
Both had error messages and never worked properly. We called support and had IT and phone service look at it too. Horrible machine.

Network for printing

They say it will network but in reality it will not work. Unless you spend big money with these guys you will get no support. The good thing is this fax machine is a workhores. Samsung sent a tech to our shop. Now that is support!

Seems like a solid machine for our small office. Setup as simple and it replaced a similar model which lasted 3+ years without a major problem.

Excellent Purchase

I hope this lasts longer than my old mfc 8220.
Good machine. Copies well - (although I had to call back to speak to another Rep & how it didn't copy - she told me that if there isn't a check on control panel w/ Copier & there wasn't - she walked me through the steps to take).
Faxes well (spoke to another Rep and he said just plug the phone into the phone symbol on back of machine - wrong. I read the book and realized that I had to plug into Jack & Line on back of machine)
All in all I think this is a good machine. Copies well, faxes well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

only thing that bothered me was that it had no usb cord for my computer, I had to buy one after I received the machine, I wish I had been told so I could have purchased it at the same time.

Easy to Use, Trouble Free, Good Customer Support

We purchased this machine about six months ago to replace a cranky old fax. I had some difficulty setting it up properly, but the customer service person talked me through it on the phone, and then emailed me the directions. Since then it has been easy for the office members to use, and trouble free.
I would recommend this to a friend!
