Replaced the GE double ovens that I bought 20 years ago, this has the convection
feature and I love it. Great product, good looks, can't say anything bad about it.

I have had the oven for 16 days. I have used the proofing feature for two batches of two loaves of bread, normal bake for two batched of cookies, and the convection feature with a roast chicken and cornbread. The oven light comes on automatically when the proofing feature if started and you can check the progress of your dough from across the room. The signal for reaching set temperature and end of timer countdown is loud enough for me to hear it in the next room without my hearing aids. The timer has a one minute warning. I baked cookies in both ovens at the same time. They browned faster in the lower oven. I used the temperature adjustment feature and they came out the same on the next baking. I have one criticism: the racks are so slippery that one of the loaves of bread fell out onto the oven door. It did not break the glass, but I have to be careful when I pull the rack out.

We really like it!

We were well pleased with our new ovens. We bought it to replace the GE oven we had before and it has some really nice features like the racks having a coating that is easier to clean then the old stainless steel. We did have a very small problems resetting the clock, but that was just a learning curve with a newere technology.

We bought this 3 months ago and are pleased with the product. The only minor complaint that we have the slightly noisy fan in the top oven. initially receiving the oven, the "nut" was missing from the fan. Serviceman fixed but not as quiet as I thought it should be.

I have had my oven about a month. I like the easy of operation and the temps are accurate. Love the convection. Only one thing it takes a little longer to reach temperature . Over all glad I bought it.

I'm excited about my new double wall oven. The oven cavity is larger than the previous oven amd this unit has two ovens, doubling the fun. The interior lights are wonderfully bright - so helpful. The racks are specially coated so they can stay in the oven during the self-cleaning cycle. I find the controls quite straightforward and simple to use. I am looking forward to trying the various features - such as proofing and the steam clean option.

Works Great!

Firstly, the product looks great! It is a really beautiful addition to any kitchen. It works great, but can take a little while to adjust if you change temperatures in the middle of cooking. It also takes a bit of getting used to working with convection, but nothings been ruined, just trial and error with the temp and timing.

Oven's narrow cutout width deciding factor
on March 18, 2015

The oven has a sleek appearance with its stainless steel/dark gray exterior. It performs basic baking and broiling functions acceptably. I haven't tested the convection bake mode yet. But my only point of comparison was a 22 year-old double oven. I would still have that unit, but the temperature control for the lower oven failed and no replacement part was available. It did a very good job of baking and broiling, and unlike the new GE oven, it was virtually silent in operation. The GE unit has a fan that produces a low humming noise even in its conventional mode. The fan noise persists after the oven is shut off, although this time can be shortened by slightly opening the oven door after baking. During operation of the oven, there is a constant series of noticeable clicks and clacks as internal relays control power to the heating elements. Also, there is no broiling pan supplied with this oven model.
I observed the temperature of the upper oven using a professional-style K-type thermocouple meter. After the oven had reached its "stable" operating temperature, I was rather surprised to see the short-term temperature measured in approximately the center of the oven cavity vary by more than 50 deg. F as the heating elements were activated and deactivated. The temperature set on the control panel (350 deg. F) was achieved, although there was more undershoot than overshoot as the temperature varied. I have no other comparison to cite, but it would seem that the temperature variation could have been held more tightly during the design process. And I don't know how the variation would affect the outcome of a recipe calling for a specific baking or roasting temperature.
Although the oven has a sleek, modern appearance, the operation of the control panel is a little primitive. The timer operation is confusing and unintuitive and will only work with one of the ovens at a time. Moreover, it only displays 4 digits and will only display count-down seconds when the remaining time is less than one minute. With 4 available digits, it could easily display minutes and seconds with any remaining time less than one hour! Many times, out of frustration, we'll just use a little digital timer or the microwave oven timer instead. Also, the touch buttons are very hard to read unless there is a bright light shining on them. These days, many appliances have a back-lighted panel that illuminates temporarily when the panel is touched anywhere. A premium level appliance should have that feature. My 22 year-old oven had illuminated displays!
I had considered a number of competitive 27 inch ovens that had attractive features and reviews. But I needed to stay within a rather narrow cutout width dimension permitted by my custom-made and expensive cherry oven cabinet that had accommodated my previous oven. As it was, I had to do a bit of careful cutting of the front frame of my cabinet. There was possibly one other oven choice that would fit, but I liked the GE's features and reviews better. But had my cabinet been an inch wider, my choices would have broadened and I may well have chosen a different oven.
