Expected Better Performance

I have had this oven for about six months and am disappointed in it. Even though an accurate oven thermometer confirms the set temperature, the oven consistently over browns baked goods. I would expect that if I were using the convection feature, but that is not the case. I did find in the manual that the temperature can be permanently adjusted. I did adjust -18°, a number decided upon by much trial and error, and things no longer get too brown, but I do have to bake longer.
I am also disappointed that even the smallest spill leaves a permanent spot on the oven floor, no matter how quickly I try to clean it up, manually and/or through the self-cleaning cycle.
This oven cost way too much for what I got. I really miss my old GE Profile oven from our previous home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This came with our new home. Works very well and cooks everything great. One reason for not giving 5 stars is the timer is a little weird. More times than not we feel like we started the timer when in fact we just pushed the "on" button and forgot to press start. Seems like there should be a less confusing way or maybe the way the buttons are laid out it was an intuitive.

Cannot use self cleaning

This oven will stop heating after using the "self-cleaning" cycle which will require a service call to replace the "high limit temp switch" which is located behind the oven. we found this out too late and then searched the internet which shows that there are many complaints about this issue. And the switch is expensive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The oven looks nice, not at all complicated to use. However, the oven door does not shut tightly and the oven itself takes about 15 minutes to preheat to a 350 degree temperature.

GE Convection Wall Oven

Unhappy with the replacement I received for my Elite Kenmore Convection Wall Oven.
1) Takes "forever" to warm up to appropriate temperature
2) Does not indicate 25 degrees lower when convection in use
3) Uneven convection - top cookies burned when others were under-done
4) This oven is located below my cooktop so when I'm cooking, it automatically senses someone there and turns "on." I'm constantly turning it off.
5) Door does not shut tight. I'm constantly pushing it forward to shut tightly which not sure if it does help
6) Temperature registers lower than the thermometer I have in the oven
Not happy at all. Wish I would have taken the money on the replacement insurance and purchased a better quality oven.

Great oven

We purchased this about a month ago and we are very happy so far. We were looking for an oven that was efficient, quiet and would look good in our kitchen. This model meets all of these requirements.
