Prefect Oven....Bakes and Broilers options are excellent....The self cleaning option is a Life saver.

Pre-Heats slowly

Bought this oven to replace a broken one so we have a functioning oven until we remodel kitchen. It looks great and cooks evenly but it takes forever to pre-heat and get to the desired temperature. Nothing quite like waiting 15 minutes for it to heat to cook something for 10 minutes. Will be buying something different and faster when we remodel!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Valued Customer - Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your range. We are glad to hear it's cooks well and looks great. Preheat time for ranges and ovens varies according to oven type. Electric Ovens with Hidden Bake Elements, like your model, can take 15-20 minutes to preheat. This is a normal operation and the preheat time cannot be altered.
Factors that will affect the preheat time are:
•Selected temperature (every 25 degree increment above 350 set temperature will add approximately 45-60 seconds to preheat time)
•Starting temperature of the oven
•Room temperature
•Number of racks in the oven (each additional rack will add approximately 30 seconds to preheat time)
•208 volt installation will increase pre-heat time by 25%

I love my GE oven. It performs exactly like I want it to. I love the roominess that is so much more than my last oven. I have no complaints.

The GE oven works great - just used the 'Proof' feature to raise dinner rolls. The broiler is very fast.

Love the cleaning options

I can use self cleaning or steam cleaning. Love the “proof” feature for making bread. Takes a long time to heat up—at least a longer time than our previous GE oven. Also, the “shut door” warning comes on too swiftly for my taste.
