Using steam oven feature. Ran and opened door now lock is engaged as locked and my oven door is open. Hit cancel and door lock control is on. Disconnected power and still lock engaged and oven door opened. Help
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Engineering changes desired

Why did the engineering of this product generate a CURVED top edge instead of a STRAIGHT top edge to the product? When you mount it UNDER a countertop the top edge doen't run paralell to the countertop. Also, no GE part is available to cover the 4 inch open space from the bottom of the unit to the top of the base cabinet's toe kick/cove base as the unit is shorter that the

Rusting inside

I am so perplexed about this. I cleaned oven previously and left the oven racks in and when it was finished cleaning, I noticed rust spots where the racks were.
I moved the racks this time and cleaned it again, new rust spots. I have this under warranty. What can be done to replace the enamel in the oven?

Hi there,
We're awfully sorry to hear that you are seeing rust spots in your oven and can understand your concern. If you're seeing what looks like rust or a brown substance on your oven racks or on the interior walls on the oven, it is most likely cooked-on oils like olive oil, coconut oil, peanut oil, etc. While we do recommend lubricating your racks with a very light coating of vegetable oil, it is important to only use "vegetable"oil." Make sure it is a very light coating, since using more can also cause spots of burned-on oil residue.
To clean this residue, use a soap and water or a vinegar and water solution. Be sure to rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth. We hope this information is helpful. If you have any other questions or concerns, please let us know. We're always happy to help! Mike@GEA
