Exactly what we needed

Having 2 ovens rather than one is a Godsend. It made holiday cooking a breeze. I dropped a star because the ovens are slow to preheat but a workaround is to preheat using the broil setting.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Cooks hot compared to old oven

Oven is really good. It takes a little long to heat up and the cooling fan stays on for a really long time after you shut it off. It does seem to cook a little hotter(faster) and more even then my old oven

Takes long time to heat up. Like that the heat elements are under the floor but hurts the performance heating up

OK, but has some flaws

The oven itself works well, except it takes a long time to pre-heat. My biggest surprise and disappointment is the vent that runs across the whole length at the bottom (our old oven did not have this) and which expels a lot of hot air when both ovens are running. This is fine in the winter, but during the summer, we will have to think twice before using this oven at all for fear of heating up the entire kitchen. And aesthetically, that black strip at the bottom makes it look like the white oven is missing a piece. It would have been nice to have some white netting or similar there which would not impede outgoing air but which would look a lot nicer and prevent dust buildup.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Brand New Today! Installation stopped because whip cord is too short to reach existing socket. This double oven is replacing a similar GE built in oven which is same size with much longer cord.. Need help.!

Great double oven

This was a replacement oven for the original GE oven in our home (circa 1968). Chose this oven because we had a limited space for it to fit. It performs well and cooks evenly. Will put it to the test this Christmas season. Timer with oven shutoff is great feature given our busy life. Wish there was a dimmer option for clock but that is minor.
I would recommend this to a friend!
