My first Canon printer

The Canon Maxify MB 2020 has a sleek, black, rounded case and an up-front display. The quick print feature (getting your first page with haste) is most helpful...especially when you just have one thing that you need right then. This is my favorite feature, and it is one the product does fairly well. [The eco and quiet settings are also quite good.] Out-of-the-box assembly is straight-forward and simple. Only removing the orange protective spacer from inside the unit brought me any difficulty...as I felt I was going to break the printer or the piece because of the strength required to excise it. The overall unit is has the appearance of quality, and the parts/doors fit with precision. I have two suggestions for future improvement: the display, and quick access to features. The display is organized and easy to read, however, one must scroll with the arrow keys in order to reach the various features. Changing to a touch-screen, or enlarging the screen to show more options (reducing scrolling) would speed operation. On the multi-function printer I just replaced (one around 15 years old,) all the key functions were dedicated buttons on the front [e.g. to copy, just press black or color; press the number for how many copies, and it started.) On this device, I must press "OK" with the menu set on Copy, then the number, and then black or color...which adds time and complexity. The same complexity mentioned previously, also occurred during the other functions, like faxing. Being able to previously insert a document to be faxed, directly key the telephone number, and press black or color was quite easy. One other way that the existing printer could be streamlined is to allow customization of what four features (the number available to show without scrolling,) the user would like to have on the main screen. The only real pain-point (ie. annoyance) I've experienced is that, at various times, I hear the unit cycling internally for ~15 seconds after performing a printing operations. (Absence of a printed manual was a notable omission, and sorely lacking.) Because of the complexity of reaching various features, I would only recommend this device to friends or family that were more tech-savvy or more experienced end-users. Overall, my impressions are that this MFP seems to be feature-rich, fairly well-built, and has a professional look for home or office.

Wonderful Printer

This printer is very nice and the best I have used. It was very easy to set up, however the whole installation process took about 35 minutes. We did several test copies and decided they were good enough to print off new menus. My favorite feature is the quiet setting. Some printers can be loud, but this option allows you to keep the noise to a minimum. The colors are vivid and everything is nice and clear. It is also very fast. There is nothing I don't like about this printer. I highly recommend it for both business or personal use.

This is a really good product for home business office needs. Packaging was excellent and handles on plastic covering made it easy to remove from box. Ink tanks were easy to install. Initial clean print head job (printer default) was a bit noisy and lasted for about 7 minutes. The online setup and registration took about 15 minutes and was successful.
Product prints fast, connects to wireless router easy and my favorite feature is that I can print directly using my mobile device. Very easy to assemble. Good quality and looks nice too. Unfortunately, I was unable to scan directly from the machine using the Operation Panel of the machine while connected to my local PC via USB. I recommend using the printer software application in computer. I'd like to see an improvement in the scan feature of the machine and a touch screen Operation Panel would be ideal. I'd definitely recommend this printer to friends and family. I was most impressed with the wireless printing feature and how easily the product connected to my wifi network.

Good Points and Bad Points

The printer is an all-in-one -- printer, scanner, copier, etc. It is an interesting piece of technology all together. Is of a very large size and does take up more space then first expected. Was easy to put together/assemble. The biggest problem with the assembly was that I had to go out and buy a USB cable to connect it with my all-in-one which was an added and unexpected expense. But all the software was easily downloaded and was up and running quickly. The overall quality of the printing is concise and sharp -- both documents and photos but the printer itself is very noisy -- can literally hear it for the other side of the house. The paper can sometimes take a little long to load in the middle of a print job as well, but it prints very, very quickly. It does have fax capabilities as well but have not used this function yet (although it does have the fax cable included -- but not a USB ?) Overall, it performs well and as expected. Overlooking the extra noise, size and lack of USB cable, I think it is a quality machine and printer. Offering a great value with its price point

I received this product as a sample to review. Here is my take on the printer based on my moderately heavy use of as a small business owner for about a week. Overall this is a good printer with good prospects as a business level replacement to my current printer which is really for lighter home use.
Pros -Prints fast with good image and text quality. -Quiet mode is great- no more loud printing! -Automatic duplex mode- this is a great feature that eliminates the need to turn pages over, I had a lot of issues with doing this right with an older printer. -Relatively cheaper printing. I looked up prices on the cartridges and for my moderately heavy use, the price per page is lower than with my current printer. -Scanning functions are great- I occasionally scan important documents for my business, and it's great that you can scan directly from the printer and documents can get sent directly to you computer as a PDF or jpg file. The scanner's automatic feeder works fast and is quiet. Scans are crisp. -Separate cartridges for Black, Yellow, Cyan, Pink cartridges. I hope this can help save money too. -Large paper cassette so no need to constantly add the paper.
Cons -Installation was not hard, but still took me about a good hour to get it running on my first computer. I used my wifi network. Much faster to install on subsequent computers though. -I'm not sure how important this is, but there are only about 10 paper types that you can select when printing. And it's not all the standard ones you would expect like card stock. I printed on card stock without any jams but I hope this won't cause problems. - No manual feed (at least not that I have figured out). I use my printer a lot to print mailing labels and constantly having to pull out the cassette to add the labels is annoying

The printer was packaged impeccably everything was in great condition! Set up was overall simple I had a little confusion with the paper trays there is a step by step illustration that is a little confusing but I figured it out. I am going to have to call technical support because I'm having a hard time getting the wireless printer feature set up for some reason it's not picking up my laptop. So i will have more to review once I start printing otherwise it's a nice printer kind of big but the touch screen set up is very easy!
