GE OWES ME A FREE REPLACEMENT

Bought this combination oven in 2013. The warranty expired in 2014. Since that time the microwave Main component board has failed twice. Each time an authorized service person has had to order a new board for which we wait months to receive. New board goes in, oven works fine, and 6 months later fails again. The first waiting period was due to the fact that GE parts and service sent the wrong part . My service person had to help them identify the correct part for the model which extended the wait even more. Second break down part ordered in January 2018 at which time we were informed has been back ordered since September of 2017. It is now May of 2018. I believe that GE owes me a replacement for free with a lifetime warranty. The main control board with the service calls cost hundreds of dollars. Why in the world would anyone buy an appliance that nearly doubles the original price and cannot be repaired? This Appliance has been useless to me.

Dead Microwave, 14 Months After Purchase

The microwave died yesterday, some 14 months after the manufacturer's warranty expired.  Convenient for GE.  Bad for me.

Will not buy again

Worked great for a few years... microwave cost a fortune to fix (twice).
Lesson learned do not buy a microwave/oven combo. My first time owning a GE and I’m not sure what all the hype is about. I will not buy another ge product.

Terrible!! Microwave Breaks

We owned this oven and it only lasted 3 years. Then the microwave interior paint chipped and then the unit stopped working. Due to the small size cabinet we were forced to buy the same unit. And that one only lasted 4.5 years, same problem. Terrible product!

Microwave issues

Microwave is the issue on this one. Not only has the paint peeled but I've had to have it serviced 4 times. It went out again. It's a combo unit and this microwave cannot be replaced. It's a shame because the oven is great and if the microwave didn't have so many issues it would be terrific. I'd have to worry going forward about buying GE. I'd say this one was a lemon but I see others with microwave issues.

I love the size

I had a tiny oven before purchased this one & also had a microwave oven in another location. This is fantastic. I did have to get used to the controls all being on the microwave & had to learn to be careful not to depress the wrong thing. Didn't take long. I really love it now.

Microwave broke after only 2.5 years.

The microwave section broke after only 2.5 years. Unfortunately, this is a combo with the oven and they stopped manufacturing the model. Therefore you can't buy just a replacement for the microwave. It's sad to see that GE's product quality has gone down so much because their quality reputation was factored into my buying decision. It appears now that the less expensive products might also be higher quality or at the very least, a much better value.
