I had my old GE oven/microwave for 20 years and it was great. This new one is a sleek, modern version which I really love.Great new features and does a great job.

THIS IS OUR 2ND MICROWAVE/OVEN COMBINATION AND WE USED BOTH OF THEM VERY HARD UNTIL THE MICROWAVE BROKE AND WE NEEDED TO HAVE BOTH REPLACED. I WILL SAY THIS THAT WHEN OUR KITCHEN WAS REMODLED I WANTED A WALL OVEN AND THE MICROWAVE IN THE WALL ALSO BUT I DID NOT KNOW THAT IT WAS ONE UNIT. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE ALL IN ONE MICROWAVE/OVER ALL ONE PIECE BECAUSE THE MICROWAVE GOES AND YOUR REGULAR OVEN IS STILL WORKING PROPERLY BUT YOU CAN'T REPLACE ONE WITHOUT THE OTHER AND IT IS QUITE EXPENSIVE EXPECIALLY SINCE WE ARE NOW IN OUR 70'S AND WE HAVE TO WATCH OUR DOLLARS.

I see that multiple reviews seem to indicate the same thing. That the microwave is terrible. It is less than 5 years since we bought the product and the inside paint is peeling off completely and falling off in the food being cooked. We had the change the circuit board since it would start off on its own. We bought this product because we believed in GE and that it would make quality products. What is the recourse for the owners? Also is the peeling paint dangerous?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
