2.5 Year Life Span

Worked Great for 2.5 years than it died. The automatic document feeder (ADF) starts putting lines on your documents. Next step is a repair depot - haven't checked what the price is to fix it , but if it is over $100 what's the point.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I really do like this scanner. It's fast, easy to operate, and does everything I need. I'm an educator and I use this to grade papers and return comments to my students. It saves lots of time and allows me to give them the amount of feedback they deserve. Best deal since sliced bread!

Epson GT1500

Epson GT1500 is very user friendly. For the price, it scans fast and gives good resolution on scanned documents. I bought this Epson GT1500 for small office use.

Almost perfect

This unit is very fast and easy to connect to my PC. My only complaint is its limitations of the auto feed function. I would like to scan some old photos that measure 3x5 . The auto load will take them but with the warning of possible document distraction. Other than that it's great.

I'm running a Mac with Lion. I followed the instructions and downloaded all of the software from the Epson website and tossed the CD. Installation was flawless - the scanner appeared right away on my system and everything is working perfectly. I only scanned a couple things with the document feeder as a test run and it performed well. There were no issues with the documents feeding, no skewing, no jams. The real test will be when I start the BIG project that I bought the scanner for - if anything changes, I will update my review. But so far - an excellent experience.

From the day in which I received the scanner and its software through its initial installation and now its constant use, this has been a most positive experience. Everything works perfectly including the Automatic processes. Thank You Epson.

Easy to install, easy to use

I unpacked the GT-1500 from the box and saw the notice about use with Macs, I easily downloaded the software and scanned my first document in the feeder mode to PDF. The result looked just like the original. I used it twice more with similar results. Piece of cake. I'm using OSX Mountain Lion.
