No instructions at all

Unless you already know how to operate this scanner, do not buy it! It comes with nothing at all, and although there is an on line guide, it tells you almost nothing. You are totally on your own, and I haven't figured it out yet. If I hadn't lost the receipt I would return it.

registration stress

Registration was not easy. The serial number should be easy. Took awhile to find then the number. Then they wouldn't take it. Made sure it was all correct. Tried again. Still no go. Came back later, try again. It went through this time. I hope the learning curve for this is easier than the registration process.

Doesn't work with VueScan, Image Capture, or Silverfast SE

Awful software experience. Epson does not maintain drivers so that VueScan can work. Silverfast is designed by German engineers for German engineers and is unusable. Deep regret. Throwing it out.

Does not function

It is hard to write a review or attach a rating. My new reconditioned scanner will not power up out of the box. The help guide is no help. Just a blinking light with no remedy. Or even approach to a solution. Just a bad individual product. I wish to return it for a replacement ASAP!

V600 Review

While the basic scanning capability is fine, the DIGITAL ICE technology, the only reason I bought this scanner as I already had a all-in-one Workforce 600 (WF600), was a disappointment. I had 3 very old (100yr) b&w photo's in need of digitizing and restoration, and the ICE technology took over 70 minutes (>1 hour) to scan each one and left it with smeared bands, and less restoration than I could do by hand. I have not tested the color restoration feature but I expect it to be capable similar to that of the WF600.

Just one sheet of how to use paper.
Taking so long. Many questions but where can I get help if there’s no instruction.
