Easy install. Works flawlessly. Great for b & w photos required for publishing. Paper feed is very reliable. Not bad on ink consumption.

Exceptional Scanner

This scanner has been awesome for me so far. I use it for scanning color and black & white photographs, documents and negatives. Most of my work is straightforward duplication, but I've tried some of the special features offered with this unit and have been pleased with the results. I've only had it for about six months, but so far I've got nothing but praise.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought theV600 to replace my 2480 which is over 10 years old. The 2480 is still working well with my old Mac and is dedicated to 3-D scanning - plants, creatures, military medals, rocks and mineral etc. The V600 has been used in "Home Mode" only and it is it is easy to use and the results are excellent. Soon I will be learning to scan 35 mm slldes which will supplement my dedicated film scanner. Epson "tools" are outstanding!

To date, over 2000 b/w , color negatives, 35 m/m slides have passed through my v600 scanner, and results are excellent, in many cases where very faded slides are scanned, they are almost magically restored to their true original colors by only selecting and pressing the "Color Restoration" Button. The "Backlight Correction" with it's three options are also a plus. My only unfavorable comment is the difficulty in opening scanned images in Photoshop Elements, and also the lack of a OSR program for this scanner.

I love my new Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner. I have scanned many photos and found the color restoration feature and have restored the color to so many of my faded photos. This was such an unexpected feature that has really enhanced my photos. Thank you Epson.

So far all I can find to report is that this scanner will not scan a disk negative which I have a few of . All other types of media scan great.
Good scanner.

Picture perfect !
What more can I say that hasn't already been said. Having a HIGH QUALITY COPY of a picture is the next best thing to owning the original. This scanner captures all the qualities of the original and more. Great scanner !!!
