Epson should address Apple software support for this scanner

Bought 2weeks ago. images produced superior images to HP G4050 scanner it replace. As stated by other Mac user. epson software was unworkable, there is a very capable work around, down load VueScan imaging software. Used for long time to over come HP's lack of support for Mac users.

It was a great scanner, but then Windows 11 happened!

Awesome scanner unless your computer is Windows 11. Between Windows and Epson, no one can get the scanner app work consistently. So this awesome scanner is crippled by a dysfunctional app. There are some generic apps that allow basic scanning, but this apps don't support negatives and slides. Also, the basic apps don't have the necessary tools to clean up images, slides and scanners.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Epson V600 in the hands of a novice

I am not known for being a "techie," therefore it was a surprise and a treat to discover the ease of using this scanner. It was everything I was hoping for and more. I am working on storing family photos, and the ability of the V600 to scan more than one photo at a time is perfect for me!

This is by far the best photo scanner I have ever had. Operation is simple. Whether scanning negatives, slides, or photos taken with a digital camera, the resulting images are excellent. Without question, I would recommend this scanner to any serious photographer who uses the computer to store and/or edit photos.

capacity for slides - templet pin

I really like the color correction and back light correction. Not used ICE except by mistake and it was very slow for copying slides.
Generally satisfied with V600 but it only copies 4 slides at a time, and folks doing this have hundreds of slides. Templet should allow for 8 slides, as my 5-8 yr old scanner does. 2nd - the single pin hole holder for the templet does a poor job. There should be two holding/anchor points.

I needed to scan and copy over 2000 slides. Was torn between the Epson V600 and another competing brand. Decided on the Epson and I am generally very pleased. Easy to set up and to manage. Made the mistake with the first few hundred slides to use color correction, which makes the copies slightly too purple. So, do not use color correction. Without it, the color quality is excellent. Was disappointed with the dust removal function. Still had to manually remove the dust on many slides. Because this became time consuming, I also purchased the competing product. In this scanner the dust removal was just as poor and the copies were too purple. I continued to use the Epson and have finally completed the project. Now onto copying hundreds of photographs.

A nice scanner, software could be improved

Have been using the scanner for 18 months with excellent results. My main use is for scanning film in 120 and 35mm, both color and B&W. The settings allow for good configuration tuning.
My only complaint is that the software is a bit primitive. For instance, it does not allow auto thumbnail recognition in 35mm, except for standard full frame (24 x 36mm). I have to scan a lot of panoramic and half frame negative strips in 35mm; it is a pain to select manually each frame.
This is quite surprising since in 120 all the sizes may be configured without any problem - and it works wonderfully.
You may need to look for third-party software!

Epson V600 performmance

Simply I have been quite impressed with this Epson scanner! Some individuals reporting problems with the supplied software but for me along with the Adobe Element software I have yet found that to be the case.I have been able to make high quality scans from the start, and the software fairly intuitive in its use! I have also found as of late a number pieces of peripheral equipment arriving with cheap trashy electrician cords and connections, not the case in this unit . All the cords themselves are also more than adequate in length. Very responsive, smooth, and quite in operation. Results are excellent! Only issue be sure your computer components are up to the task!
