i can say just one world to define " AMAZING", i never think can scan my old films, but i can do it.

Great Scanner, without going into a lot of detail the 35 mm slides look great after they been scanned. Advanced scanning features are also very impressive for the price. This machine scans 4 slides at a time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've only had this for a few days; seems to work well, no issues with software or anything like that. I bought this to replace an 11 year old Epson Perfection 1200U Photo: I hope this one will last as long.

Only bad thing I have found so far is the slide holder. After scanning slides you can't get them out of the holder. You have to take the whole thing off and end up putting finger prints all over the screen. Also Fed ex put a huge hole in the box - good thing the scanner was well protected with packing.

The V600 was very easy to install and to use it is easier. For PDFs one button .
Scanned old slides with color shifts and it made good copies even with por slides. The film carrier keeps the negative flat and makes great copies using Digital Ice. Some of the negatives were over twenty years old and came out great. I highly recommend the V600 for the serious hobbist and for most full time photographers.

Worth the money

I received the scanner about 2 days ago and since then Ihave scanned about 30 pictures. Some pictures being a few years old and some being 60 to 70 years old. After comparing the scanned images to the orignals I've came to the conclusion that buying the Epson scanner was a great idea. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because the Adobe Photoshop Elements 7 software that came with the scanner is not compatible to Windows 7 which is what is running on the laptop I am using to store the images.

Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner

This scanner has definitely exceeded my expectations, The slide and negative scans are very good, as is photos or text. The addition of two good tools, Photoshop Elements and ABBYY OCR were a good choice and made the price tag a little more reasonable.
