I have used two Epson scanners, and I have been pleased with both.
The fact I can scan more than one photo at a time and they are saved as individual photos is very helpful.
The function, scan to edit, is helpful in my work and writing.

EPSON V600 Photo Scanner.

I got this Scanner mainly to scan 110mm slide. Since it was a flat bed I could lay the slides on the, preview them, select just the picture portion of the slide. It worked very well and was the only method I found the worked for the 110mm slides. I have Windows 7 Pro and I did find one problem.. Sometimes the scanner could not be found even though it was connected. Someone selected the solution. I had to go to a TEMP file and delete everything there. Quite a few Twain items were there. This suggestion worked although it happened quite a few times. So it seems your software is not completely ready fro Windows 7 Pro.

Good Scanner for Slides
on October 7, 2016

I purchased the scanner primarily to digitize a very number of old slides. I was pleased with the overall operation of the scanner. There was one very annoying issue. The scanner has an "auto" mode which identifies the type item being processed. While this is a nice feature, I wouldn't call it totally automatic. I had to continually randomly move the cursor in order for it to process the for slides on the glass. This had to be done to start the scanning and to reinitiate a scan for each slide. It will not work unattended.

I installed as directed. No lights come on scanner. No on or off button. Instructions are very scant. Scanner is meant for upto win 8.1. Tried to update driver to win 10, it seemed to take. But, still no lights. Nice looking on my desk, but it's a dud so far

I bring the past alive with my Epson perfection photo scanr

Verified Purchase:Yes
I have used in Epson perfection photo scanner for many years. When I found there were no drivers for my old scanner, I started looking for another photo scanner. Epson is the only company that makes a scanner, which will scan 8 x 10, 4 x 5, 4 X 5 negs / positives and other formats down to 35MM. I am happy with my new scanner. Thank you Epson your product is both well built and economical.

So after much research I settled on the V600. I'm glad I did. With nothing to compare it to I'll just say that it works very well. The results I get a very satisfactory. It's faster than I had anticipated too. The software is working for me as well though I don't use any of the correction features besides Digital Ice and I only use that for film other than Kodachrome...they don't get along.
A few things that need improvement:
Setting up to scan and using the software to full advantage took a while to figure out the first day. I spent about an hour getting everything right. But once that was done it was smooth sailing.
Also, it's hard getting the slides out of the holder. Maybe my fingers are to big or my nails not long enough but they are a bugger to lift. I've resorted to a piece of masking tape to pull them out by the mounts.
