Excellent scanner

I love my new Epson V600 Photo Scanner. It is very easy to scan directly into Adobe Photoshop for editing. I can scan multiple pictures at a time, and if spaced correctly, each one scans individually. I tried it with negatives from the early 70's, and it works great. It also easily scans documents. Great for overall use of scanning photos (color and black and white) and documents. Would highly recommend.

Fine home flatbed scanner

I bought the scanner for home photo scanning, and it has provided excellent performance: excellent and consistent color and resolution, reasonable speed, and useful (if dated) software. It's compatible with third-party software. The hardware-enhanced DIGITAL ICE for dust removal, even on prints, usually eliminates having to manually touch up the images for spots or scratches if I'm careful to keep the glass and the source image fairly clean. While I bought it for prints, it also does well with negatives and slides in small batches, producing clean scans and (if I'm not in a hurry) images with resolution often limited by the film grain.

V600 photo scanner

Very good and quick for copying flat material such as photos and other printed materials. Have not used it for slides or negatives. I expect it to be as good or better for 120 films, as the perfection 2450 is.

I bought the V600 about a year ago. I am retired military and have since scanned 1000's of 35mm slides, prints and print negatives of my military career and family photos. I am close to 10,000 total scans now. I absolutely love the Elelments 9 software that came with it and I "tweak" each scan with the software and have a retired military list and also family list I email the finished scans too. I have gotten 100's of comments about how good my scaned pictures look. The scanned pictures have given a lot of joy to all my friends and family (and me) over the past year. This is an awesome piece of equipment and is still going strong. I am so glad I bought it. Thanks.

A great scanner. The only problem I have is with MAC OS 10.8 I can only access the scanner through the System Preference-printers. I have a drum scanner and the Epson does a better job up to 120.
