Have scanned many hundred old Negatives and slides. The ICE feature erased dust spots and blemishes from slides that are over 60 years old. Wonderful product and very easy to work with.

I have not pushed the limits of this scanner. But so far I am very favorably impressed with the hardware, not impressed with the provided software. I find the software painful to use, being forced to do more steps than I feel is necessary and/or having to do the same steps over and over again. Perhaps I just haven't studied the manual well enough (wherever it is).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Epson V600 Scanner

I have 1000's of old 35mm slides from around the world going back to the late 50's. Wanted to preserve digitally. I've tried other scanner/converters but none worked as easily and efficiently as the Epson V600. Thank you Epson.
Now I have to tackle all the photograph conversions to digital.

Love this scanner. Fast, easy operation, no problems at all. Definitely recommend. Has the ability to change settings to fit my needs. Have nothing negative to say about this scanner at all.

I just found alot of slides that I took 25 years ago
so I wanted to to convert them to prints.I was really amazed how well they came out.Nice scanner.

The scanner arrived this morning. I installed the scanner drivers and the accompanying software.
Hooked the scanner to my computer and after about an hour playing with the various settings I'm now able to scan 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 color negatives 3 up.
These old negatives are from my wedding some 45 years ago.
I'm thrilled with the scanner, but ICE doesn't seem to remove any dust spots (even when I turn it on.)

meets expectation

I bought the V600 after thoroughly reviewing all the other scanners in its price range. I bought it principally because it had Digital ICE as part of the hardware. It performs as expected.
Like all scanners in this price range the biggest issue is the limited availability to adjust the image quality. The V600 is the best at this that I have used.
I was slightly disappointed that I could not individually adjust multiple images when I wanted to scan them together, but that is not a deal breaker.
Lastly, I wish someone would teach Epson how to write an instruction manual. It is the worst I have ever used.

Slide Conversion

I used the Epson V600 Photo to scan old family slides, dating back to the 1960s. In scanning over 850 slides to JPG I had no problems. It was great being able to scan four slides at a time. I highly recommend.
